so can someone tell me again why a college degree is important? i graduated from college 2 yrs ago, and i still cant find a decent job. I mean the only real jobs paying anything decent either are dangerous (police, corrections, military) or want you working long hours (wall street types of things) I have no desire to die early, nor do i have the desire to have my soul sucked out of me because i have to work long hours doing something that does not benefit me or the public at large. Im now working data entry at a vet lab in the evenings (12-6am) and that is making me sick, because often times i have to stay late because co workers want to chat instead of retrieving work to key,which often times causes a pile up on the table by quitting time. It seems there is no hope for me...ive applied to jobs at colleges, three jobs at one college, and one job at another one...ive gotten rejected from the one job i have applied for at one college, and the others i have yet to hear from.

This job has got to be the worst one i have had yet...not only is the pay lousy, but i have to be up from 11 at night to about 6or seven in the morning doing nothing but lousy crappy work...i have to sit and look at commercials and determine what type of code they get based on some crappy quality guide that they give me...or better still i have to look up something based on some lead audio or whatever i have to type in to a search thingy that they have...

yes you read it right..i hate Corporate America, especially those moronic, half brained CEOs...im sick of having to suck up and completely show a false face at an interview for a corporation just to get a job....no i dont like having to deal with politics and brown nosing, i would like to get a position based on what i can bring to the table not based on how much i can suck up to the boss. i really wish i could tell them all off and show them the door, but i digress. these Managers and what not must really get their kicks from seeing their employees work for little to nothing while the heads of companies get expense accounts private jets and the like.

this is for all my college graduates out there who are forced to take crappy jobs to pay off bills such as student loans and what not because no one wants to hire you in your field of study...or give you a real shot..I cannot stand the fact that the rich are getting richer in this country due to tax cuts and what not and the rest of us are still struggling trying to make it off of the scraps that corporate America is handing to us...im sick of having to take jobs i could have easily done out of high school while Johnny Jackass over there who has no credentials except he has rich parents or something like that gets moved up to the top floor, or better yet Susie Suckit who did nothing in college but lay on her back for a good number of her grades has a top position and a expense account that rivals the GDP of many third world countries......

so i hate this job i just got...although it is a permanent one the job entails me being up from 11pm to 7am just about and im trying to match advertisement codes to other codes just by listening to and typing some lead audio into a search engine type thing.....I hate the hours, the people are cool though i guess, but i would rather be in school or something...shoot i think i know what i want to do in life and this is not it....the sad part is the way the job market is now, if i quit this job i will not be able to get another one for a year, or i will be back to doing temporary work.

So what is someone to do?

I dislike Job fairs...oh sure they have a bunch of different companies there and they take your resume and tell you about their company, but truthfully most of these people are there because their bosses made them go. Usually the only people that are there are the Cable companies the Mortgage brokers, the stock broker types as well as some other companies that we all know and dont want to be bothered with. and the Job seekers there? they look like a bunch of sad sacks, but who can blame them?

They have to deal with a bunch of companies that do nothing but take their resumes, make them go through the whole boring process, and ask them if they are further interested, and if so they will call them, when truthfully they probably will not.

Well once again i am here ranting, why? Because i am sick and tired of having to go out to job interviews and put on a happy f ing face...i didnt get the job at the DA's office, and now im still here going out looking for work. Despite what people think, there are very few jobs for my major...why? because they want you to have experience. But you cant get experience if you dont get the chance to get experience. This catch 22 as it is called, is the ultimate in bull ish for real. I think i am better off being a waiter or a janitor or something...just so i can go pursue my dreams without having to fuckin put on a suit and tie and go embarrass myself and go through the interview process.

well, i have been out of school for about a year and change now (College) and all i have been able to get is temp work. Bull crap temp work where i am smarter than my bosses by a mile. The sad part is my degree has nothing to do with any of the jobs i have gotten, but thats ok. I hate doing temp work, and i hate the fact the only jobs out there for me are menial and degrading things like that...Or maybe i have not been exploring the job market enough.

I know that I am better off going back to school, or doing something that has more brain power to it, but these low life twits want to talk about " you need 2-3 yrs experience" or something like that, for good paying jobs....i have so few options, it seems that im better off being in the military, law enforcement, or getting a civil service job....On the other hand, those options sound better than going back to college for a masters, only to not get anything else in return but lowly temp work still....

hy the fk am i doing this ish? ive been out of college almost 2 years, and i cant find anything that was worth me going to college for four years and getting my degree for. This is straight bullish this bull...im sick of scanning, and filing and data entry bull ....im not interested in any facets of this company, and wouldnt care if they did hire me full time permanently, because i hate this job, and this company...oh sure the people here are nice, but i cant stand any of the work that is done here. Do i really care if anyone doesnt get their shipment of cumquats or whatever in India? do i care if someone in China doesnt get a expensive computer part because some bill wasnt cut correctly or whatever the f its supposed to go? no.. i dont give a flying fuck about this place, and i want to call Randstad so bad and tell them that i quit, and they can shove this assignment up their ass!

Whoever said a college degree will get you a better job needs his head examined...unless your degree is in a business field, it seems to me in my opinion you are ish out of luck....i have been looking for permanent work for a while now and i cant stand it...all i do is go to interviews, or even stupider, go to these temp agencies in the hopes that there are temporary to permanent hire positions, but all they seem to do is get me jobs i could have done in High school...

you cant think positively when you are in student loan debt for a degree you are not going to use, in a field that you are not going to even be in..so why go to school?

i hate my damn job...i currently work temporarily as a Data entry operator for Chase Financial Services....i got the job thru a temp agency.

The thing is, that i do the same thing over and fucking over again..i mean i come in to the fucking job in the morning, scan the documents, fix documents if my co workers cant see them when they are entering them in the system, etc. etc etc. i cant fucking stand it....i have a BA in communication, and im stuck doing this for a while...

the job sucks not only cuz of that, but because of the pay...i make 9.75 an hour, and i have to hear one coworker talk about God this, and God says that (im not a non believer, but i dont want to hear the Bible or its words shoved in my eardrums on a constant...keep that shit to yourself)
