Catching Shit For Doing Your Job

Submitted by darthsidious on Wed, 07/16/2008 - 02:25.

Where I work, if you do your job...if you execute to plan...if you work to get things done, you catch shit. If you bitch and avoid doing anything, you are seen as a key player. It's pathetic.

Where I work everyone looks to get all excited about work that someone else is doing. If they have to do it, they look to pass the buck.

At least I have a job interview coming up!!!

It's Really Pathetic.....

When the bathroom at a gas station is cleaner than the bathroom at you work place.
Believe me, it's true. 7-11 bathrooms are cleaner than the bathroom at my work place. Oh...and there are several managers and engineers that don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom.

Suffering The Fools At Work

Submitted by darthsidious on Sun, 03/30/2008 - 16:34.

Ever feel like senior management is tired and old and inferior to you? Ever see how a manager less capable than you gets ahead of you? Ever get tired of being expected to get along with people who clearly are not as capable as you? Ever feel put down for even expression your in born sense of being better than others? Of being something more? Who the hell said we are all "the same"? Why do managers insist on this type of nonsense? Well, here are some words to live by....

We Got Threatened

Submitted by darthsidious on Mon, 02/18/2008 - 03:47.

I got threatened by the big boss and my boss got threatened also. The big boss said my ass is on the line and my boss said some heads are going to roll if we fail on some bullshit project. What this numb nut is conveniently forgetting is that the reason we are in this mess is ultimately because of him. I wasn't even involved with the original bullshit and now this idiot boss thinks fear is how you fix problems?

Oh bitch, please....

Fuck them. Guess it's time to put my resume out there and get the hell out of there.

Work Is Like Being In The Matrix

Submitted by darthsidious on Mon, 01/07/2008 - 03:14.

It really sucked going back to work, didn't it?

The people you work with either have the same thirst for freedom as you do, or they are stuck living in some sort of fantasy world where they think if they work hard, they will be a CEO some day or that their boss lOvEs them or some other stupid careeristic crapola. They are either with us, or against us.

You know, I was watching the matrix over the holidays and I decided to post what I think is the most relevant part of the movie:

Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

Merry Christmas (Except you, boss)

Submitted by darthsidious on Tue, 12/18/2007 - 03:41.

It's been a while since I've posted. Just thought I'd drop by and say, "Hi!"

Much has changed since I logged on but I'm hanging in there. My eyes are opened even more. And the biggest lesson I can come up with is: My coworkers are miserable and unhappy, they just don't know it. They are numb to it. At least I'm breaking free from it. If anything, I WILL be happy. I guess with age comes wisdom and maturity.

Just thought I'd post a little song, to express myself WageSlaveZ style

In this farewell
There’s no blood
There’s no alibi
‘Cause I’ve drawn regret
From the truth
Of a thousand lies

This Says It All....WageslaveZ Style

How many times have they lied with the truth in their eyes
Treat you like dirt, wasting the days of our lives
They try and deny it, ain't gonna buy it, just look around
Before it's all over, it's gonna get rough
I've had enough -

Chorus:
(Out of the cold into the fire) Nothing and no one is stopping me now
(Out of the cold into the fire) Just hang tough and we'll make it somehow

How many times have you given up more than you got
Countin' on things turnin' out, but you know they will not
Ain't gonna take it, kick it and break it, just look around
Before it's all over it's gonna get rough

Whose Fault Is It Anyway??

Yes, work suck.
Yes, the boss is an ass.
Yes, I feel stuck due to many different reasons.
Yes, my life sucks on some level.
Yes, I am not happy.

If I could do things over again I would. So many wasted opportunities. So much squandered time. At every turn in my life, I've made decisions that have added up to where I am now. Each wrong decision has left me a little less confident, a little less sure of myself; yet a little wiser and stronger.

The institutions I was raised to believe in are nothing but paper tigers; false gods.
I ignored the gnawing feelings telling me, "something is wrong."

Life and Work. Work and Life. If work pollutes life, you are toast.

Submitted by darthsidious on Fri, 08/10/2007 - 01:27.

It seems that the less happy you are in your personal life, the more weight you put into your job. If you have a miserable marriage, I guess you overcompensate by escaping to work and acting all self important. Pity those fools.

Oh...and the lessons you learn at work about who to trust and not to trust carry on into your personal life. If you are a pompous ass who is worried about what others think about, then you will go home and behave the same way but....you see, people don't like to make friends with pompous asses so you will find yourself all alone after work, eating your frozen dinner

The Benny Hill Show

Submitted by darthsidious on Thu, 06/21/2007 - 23:17.

You know the theme song for "The Benny Hill Show"? Well, whenever I think about where I work and how these asstard are soooo disorganized the theme song from Benny Hill always pops up in my head. In fact, as I write this blog, the theme song is running in my head.

You know how on the show it would show people running around crazy and fast? Well, that's how it is here at work!!!

I think Benny Hill is the fucking CEO of where I work!!!

It's Hard....

Submitted by darthsidious on Mon, 06/11/2007 - 01:57.

It's hard to take a manager seriously when:

1. They dress like a 14yo teenager.
2. They have visible tattoos.
3. They get yelled at and lectured in front of their subordinates by other managers.
4. They panic or get emotional when a crisis comes up or things don't go the way they like.
5. They wear shorts.
6. They act like they are still back in high school.
7. Don't act decisively because they are visibly afraid to commit to anything.
8. They lose a customer and then try to cover it up.
9. You come to him with a fresh idea and he immediately claims that he was thinking that exact same idea.

Don't Waste Your Life Or Time Pursuing Someone Else's Dream

Submitted by darthsidious on Mon, 06/04/2007 - 00:48.

When you work for someone else, you are helping them accomplish their dreams. Think about it...

When "They" started the business, they had a vision of what they wanted to do, how to do it, etc. Then they figured they would hire people to do the work so THEY can realize THEIR dream. So basically you are working to realize someone else's dream. When you stress, sacrifice, eat shit...you are doing all that to help someone else achieve their goal of ultimately getting rich. NEVER FORGET THIS so you can keep things in perspective.

All this talk of career, and dedication to your job is a load of bullshit fed to you so you comply as required by your overlords...think about it.

I Figured It Out...

Submitted by darthsidious on Thu, 05/17/2007 - 00:57.

My boss is a wimp and his boss is a wimp too. There is no real leadership. The only time they kick into action is when they are under the gun and then...they are dangerous because they panic and get all out of control....

Christ...I better not stick my neck out too far, they may think I'm some sort of go getter or something.
