End of. No more. This is the time. I am no longer vulnerable. I am done. No more feeling. No more Sucker. Empathy is no longer an option. It has been sucked out of me today and I have learned. Finally, 30 years in the learning. Empathy has no value, but to make you weak and open to parasitical suffering and pain.

OK, I am now in a position to see the problems from both sides and I have to tell you, emotion, ego and lack of self control cause almost every damn skirmish between managers and staff. And the fault lays squarely with the managers, people who are chosen and paid well (most of them) to manage and mentor others! To make sure that the company remains productive and profitable...You need to go to bat for the people who answer to you, even when they are wrong, and tell them after the fact that they weren't right, but never in front of other managers. And how do you do that?

If you saw a bully in action each day, bringing people to tears of frustration and hopelessness, crushing their spirit and sucking their self worth away, would you step up? And if you too, were also in that very same position in the past but had managed to escape it?

Empathy (also known as pathos): To paraphrase the definition, it is the ability to feel what others feel. The ability to place yourself in another's shoes, if only for a moment. Whether this person is right or wrong, to gain insight to their feelings. Most people have this ability in varying degrees, and some, sadly, are not capapble of it at all. They are usually serial killers and are at the far end of the spectrum and rare.

Disreagrad: to treat without due regard, respect, or attentiveness; slight: to disregard,lack of regard or attention; neglect.

OK, this is not going to be a spoiler, so relax.

This movie pretended to be a revelation, or at least an insight into the sick, tormented minds of those that go postal. We can all relate, in some small way to the buttons that get pushed on any given day, although we all know that this type of person is already a time bomb before they even enter the work world.

The only thing worse than being manipulated, is knowing that the person doing it actually doesn't give you enough credit to realize that you know what they are doing. And knowing they are doing it to give someone else what they want at your expense.

It's quite an insult to my intelligence to have anyone think I am that thick.

I KNOW that almost all of the "changes" that involved me in years past have been made strictly to acommodate others or solve pesky problems. And the insult is putting the spin on it and thinking I am stupid enough not to see through this. I always have.

I may have skimmed over it, while my eyes glazed over and my jaw hung slack and I instinctively realized it was yet another slick buck passing mannouver in written form, but no, I can't say I honestly read it. Never read it Ever, and I'll testify in court to that.
Therefore, it did not exist.
I can mark it as unread and pull it up on my screen and get big, round, innocent eyes. If I have to.
Heres what I propose.....stop sending me your buck passing, ass covering, shyster crap emails and then I'll have to stop telling you that I didn't read them!

I'm just wondering if anyone else here goes through the title bullshit.
Titles mean nothing, most people here know this. I know this.

They don't mean anything, but then again they do. If you are given one, you expect to live up to it and fulfill the duties of it, in doing this, you naturally expect it to be recognized. It's not. It never truly was. It is make believe.

If you do this and you suddenly realize that you were never truly recognized as having it at all, would you be pissed?

Anyone else here fall into the title trap?

I'd be interested in hearing your stories. If only to know I am not alone and that others have fallen into this silly crap.

I want out of this stinking nightmare quagmire of crap and corruption. Backstabbing, sniping, bickering and blubbering like two year olds. It's like a pre-fucking-school nightmare I can't wake up from. There is no solution. I have to get out and I have to get out soon. And I mean within the next few weeks. I have had enough.

I know it will never, ever change. It will only ever get worse. And the money is a fucking insult. The only things that change are the responsibility and workload, they increase, increase, increase. Nothing else changes. The shit just gets deeper every year. And the promises just keep coming, like always.

I work in a corporate environment (or one that tries to mimic one) Every single day I hear people say, "Thats it. I'm going to go apply at Tims" (A well known coffee conglameration here -on every damn corner). All fine and good. Most who make this statement are making 10 to 20 G more a year than me.
Well.. cry me a fucking river. My heart just bleeds for your pain. I lose sleep over your stress, how do you bare it?

They have no idea of how bad it can be in one of those retail shit holes. They just assume that they would automatically be hired (due to their superior-ness to those that work there already of course, kind of like job slumming) and that there is no effort or stress involved in those types of jobs. They are ignorant beyond belief. They think that they could just walk in and be hired with no retail or service industry experience. That is their first mistake, and pretty much says it all about their attitude.

I need a lot more.

What it all comes down to, basically, is that only you can put a value on yourself. If you allow others to asign your worth, or rely on others to tell you what you are worth, you will surely be screwed in the ass.
Knowing a few things I am not supposed to know, but always suspected through common sense, has left me very bitter, resentful and unmotivated.
While I realize that it is every man for him or her self, still, there ought to be a somewhat level playing field to begin with. Then let everyone compete for the same trophy. And let the rules be the same for all players.

Some days when you are secretly wishing and stressing about things, you think random thoughts about things that could happen. Things you wish would happen. You think about how great things would be if only ...if.....this or that happened. After much striving and working,
Then one day it does.
And it is a total let down.
The money, which should be the prime objective, gets lost in the shuffle of preserving your dignity and ego and trying not to get bent over again. So when you finally reach the stage where you are not getting bent over, you are so obsessed with maintaining that little patch of meaningless territory, that you have totally lost the thread........money. Survival, the real reason we go to work.
