I work for a major telecommunications firm. My job is by far, the most frustrating, inane, repetitve jobs one could have. I am the "...this call may be monitored or recorded." person ... you know, the one that gets to listen to all of the unbelivebale ridiculousness that goes on throughout this companies call centers both domestically and internationally. Sounds like a pretty "cushy" and perhaps to those w/ no life, "interesting" job......... NOT when I get to listen to foriegn nationals w/ thick accents all day who don't have HALF a clue on what they're supposed to accomplish, or NOT when I have to listen to domestic agents w/ IQ's of about 50 on a good day. I actually have heard agents say, in response to the "so, where are you located?" question, "... Oh, I work in downtown California." ... really ... I'll let you all guess ... does that agent live in the USA or not ??? In all fariness, I've heard other agents say, in response to casual conversation of location yet again, "... Oh, you're in Philadelphia ... that's WEST of where I am." "...Really, where are you located?" "oh, I'm in TEXAS." ... just the beginning folks, just the beginning ... look for more to follow .......
