Gave my two weeks notice

Submitted by CoCo on Thu, 03/27/2008 - 14:41.

Told my douche bag boss that I accepted another position and that I'm giving my two weeks notice. He is under the impression that it's not enough time. He said it was unreasonable. Blah blah blah blah. He was such a dick. I suggested maybe we could work something out. He said to just hand-in my resignation letter. I went straight to HR and did so. I also told them he thinks two weeks isn't enough.

Kiss my ass fucker!

Douche bag boss

My boss’s passive aggressive remarks don’t bother me as much anymore because I’m talking to my old boss on Tuesday to see if I can go back to work for him again. I’ve learned a lot of skills in the last two years that I think will be of benefit to his business. I enjoyed working for him but the money wasn’t the greatest. However, I’ll take a lower salary for peace of mind any day. I live modestly and my partner makes almost six figures a year so we can afford this.

I think I'm ready to quit my job

Submitted by CoCo on Wed, 02/20/2008 - 12:52.

We got a new boss and he expects me to learn project management in a few weeks. I tried reading books and shit but I just can't grasp the concepts. He's a fucking certified PMP so how in the fuck can I garner that knowledge in two weeks. I've been sleeping like shit for the last few weeks. I'm just so sick of feeling like I'm gonna get fired any day now. I've just completed a freelance project for my old boss and he was really happy with it. I'm thinking of quitting this job, pays $20.50/hour, and going back to my old one that pays $11/hour.

Fucking annoyed

I'm so fucking annoyed today. The whiny little bitch comes crying to me because she needs something. I e-mailed a specific individual with the information but he never responded. As she's done before, as she's said to me before, I'm too busy working on numerous projects to worry about this one little request. If you want it so bad, fucking follow-up with me bitch. Don't go crying to your boss and then come whine to me. Do you think I give a shit about this menial little issue of yours? NO!!!! Now please fuck off and let me work.

You know, the longer I work here, the more people start to annoy me.

I'm too busy for this

As my previous blog explained, I got sucked into coordinating this new project at work. I'm not too happy but what can you do? Anyhow, there were two other people who somehow got involved with this issue as well. I decided to hold a meeting to discuss what it is we were doing exactly because there was zero communication. So I was explaining to one of the individuals the reason why I booked the meeting. She couldn't understand why she was involved. You want to know why bitch, because you fucking came crying to me for help. Since your little problem has been solved, doesn't mean that the entire issue is done. Oh no, it's just started bitch! She kept on saying that she didn't have time for this. Please, tell me what the fuck you have to do that is so important? Your stupid little newsletter? Your stupid little events? This project is critical to the operation of this organization. If this thing breaks, nobody can contact us. Do you not understand how critical this is? I know that it's not really in your job description but neither is it in mine. The only reason why I got involved is because my boss said so. However, I'm the type of person who will be involved in something until it's done.

Having coordinator in your job title sucks ass!!!

I don't know if I'm the only one who notices this but if you have coordinator in your job title, you're stuck doing all of the garbage work. Here's a scenario:

Manager from other dept: "I need help with this task."
My boss: "Ok. CoCo will help you coordinate this."
Me: "Uh, ok! Is there a file with information?"
My boss and manager from other department: "No."

This has happened to me twice now. Two e-mails have literally ensured that I have more than enough work to keep me busy. Now, I'm all for learning new things and all, but what irks me is that nobody tells you anything. You basically have to relearn everything yourself by asking questions. People assume you should know this already. It's sooooo frustrating. People are so busy, doing God knows what, they cannot take 10 minutes of their time to explain to you the thread of events which led to the problem. I've surely honed my detective skills since starting work here. The work that I was originally hired to do has taken a backseat to these new projects I'm coordinating. Oh well. People will have to complain to my boss if they think the project I was originally hired to take care of is progressing slowly.

Take a pay cut?

I came across a job ad today for an admin assistant with an engineering firm. It's the kind of position where they require you to do many different things. I think it would be a good match with the skills that I have. This is the kind of position I'm looking for. However, I'm guessing that I won't make as much $$$$$$.

How important is money in the long run anyways? I fucking hate my job and spend about as much time procrastinating than working. My job is not stressful but the bulk of my responsibilities suck. I do not really produce anything and I feel like I'm running around in circles. I'm basically expected to produce results but everything is out of my hands. It's very strange. Anyways, I fucking hate it. I hate the people that whine to me about their problems and I hate the people in upper management who play mind games. This is a large organization that employs many different types of people so you'll encouter all sorts.

Sigh...I'm so busy

Ok...so I used to post here last year under a different username but decided to change it. Anyhow, I got this job last year and it's ok. My boss has good leadership skills and doesn't micro-manage. My problem is with the work environment. I work in IT at a health care centre. My job role doesn't really belong in an IT department but the people here are so stupid that my boss decided to manage this role anyways. Thank God. As I was saying, the work environment here is weird to say the least. The people in my department are cool. I don't really talk to them much but they don't expect you too. However, you'll find all sorts of crazy people working in other areas. Name it, we have it.
