Say it with a SmileAfter taking a position as an assistant manager at a Dress Barn, I found out in no less than 3 mos that my boss was/is a wrinkled, gossiping, back stabbing bitch from hell...Who would have better served her herself working in a low classed strip club (noting that she would fit right in with the cattiness). Ever fear asking for help as the newbie, while being made to feel incompetent in front of co workers? I Hated having to listen (half assed) to the constant backstabbing gossip that this pruned up, under sexed, mighter than thou know it all hefer spouted each time an employee clocked in, out or just happened to move to a different side of the store to perform a task as requested. The old bag was able to run off any new employee, that would bust ass without complaint while finding the time in between to embarras & degrade them in the process. Needless to say I no longer work there & she has recently retired (many are giving thanks I am quite positive). I worked there for maybe 8mos & could stomache nothing more...30 mins before needing to clock in I waltzed in, handed the bowel movement my keys & said with a smile, "I have a time limit when working with assholes & your time is up"! I know the wrinkled bitch will never forget that...Cause I'm still laughing about it! "I have a time limit when working with assholes & your time is up"! I love it! Good for you, you have courage. Don't change, never become a slave like me. [Moderator] I should have thanked you much earlier...I haven't changed my style, I document, I am clear & professional...Until I can't be, then I say what many think... sandwichnazi What a coincidence! I had yet another bad day at work and your fabulous quote is as great and applicable as ever. Thanks, it makes me smile. I just copied and pasted it into a notepad file. I'm glad you haven't changed. I just may use it someday. Take care. [Moderator] I am sorry that you had yet another rough day at work...Sometimes and this is Ever so vulgar...I pass a little gas in tight spaces when I know that the needy individual is behind me...It may be the best thing to end all conversation, present & future alike...Something I retained from having younger siblings...Anyone who has ever has a boss planted firmly over his or her shoulder would benefit. Some say that we tend not to forget things when using our taste, touch, smell...Hell have a laugh or two...You'd be surprised just how far it gets you each time you face the individual... I am nearing the end of my 2 wk notice at yet another wacked out job. We are relocating soon...My God I have encountered pretty much the same thing, only in this position there are too many chiefs & not enough indians. That just means there's more work, more BS & more ass kissing. I have found that remaining silent isn't my strong point...I find it hard not to tell someone to take to the teat when needed (in fact had to here). I recently asked a supervisor if she was Bi Polar, she wanted to know why I would ask such a thing. I stated that she was cheerful one minute & screaming the next. Of course she apologized and gracefully accepted that I would use this to torment her in the future. Though I am not perfect(wink), I will be spoken to with mutual respect. Keep in mind that this was after storming out with the offer of being written up & my dumb ass asked "are you through", I never get enough...Hell sometimes it's better than the Springer show. I have offered my various opinions about supervisors & managers working here & have summed it up that they are not properly trained to supervise or manage (except for a few), this was of course said to an ass kissing, back stabbing supervisor, in front of a co worker that will still be there for some time to come. There's so much bullshit going on at this place. The cover ups are unreal & I am joking & laughing my ass off through each & every day as I did from day one...As I said I did offer my 2 wk notice, I am on the schedule for 10 of the 12 days, my actual working days are only 7 of the 10...I have 2 left...I am using that to "enjoy" being there while getting the work done. As with any position you take, at first you attempt to offer your best, but when your best is blasted in the ass for no other reason than just because "a few can", you have to give yourself something to smile about & often... sandwichnazi Of course karma has made a round or two at management level...The manager had a melt down & was rescued by the local rescue squad...Inspector Puffalump was asked to quietly leave after an investigation, and a few supervisors and back stabbing employees have since moved on for "various" reasons...Too bad not all of the sneaky jerks were found out...They are still there, pretending that all is good...Everyone knows, the best is yet to come...A visit to the local night clubs would open a few eyes...Nothing will get better when changes are limited to very few...Where there's smoke, there's fire... sandwichnazi |
