why the f am i still here?

i hate my damn job...i currently work temporarily as a Data entry operator for Chase Financial Services....i got the job thru a temp agency.

The thing is, that i do the same thing over and fucking over again..i mean i come in to the fucking job in the morning, scan the documents, fix documents if my co workers cant see them when they are entering them in the system, etc. etc etc. i cant fucking stand it....i have a BA in communication, and im stuck doing this for a while...

the job sucks not only cuz of that, but because of the pay...i make 9.75 an hour, and i have to hear one coworker talk about God this, and God says that (im not a non believer, but i dont want to hear the Bible or its words shoved in my eardrums on a constant...keep that shit to yourself)

i mean im at the point to where i want to go back and get my masters in English and creative writing (its all one program in this school i wanted to go to) or Library science....but who is to say i will get a job that pays decent there as well?

im pissed off cuz of this job, i have a degree that is utterly worthless, i cant use the fn thing for nothin, and i have debt because of it...

who ever says you need a degree to get ahead was a fool

I know what ya mean about the degree thing. There's a lot of people that end up with a hugh debt doing menial shit. And it really fucks with your psychology. I spent $25,000 on a recording arts degree and I'm a fucking automatic door mechanic, roof camera wiping, ups battery changing drone.

My last training spree ruined the way I think of school. I feel like it's a $30 to $40,000 dollar gamble with the odds of it leading to anything other than debt is slim.

All I can say is keep trying to find a better job. Or go back to school --- maybe you are better at gambling than I am.

im trying to finda something better...problem is that the jobs out there im either overqualified for in terms of having my degree, or im underqualified for in terms of experience/skills...

or i look for jobs that want me to have a certain type of degree, and i dont have it...

so f it im going back to school....

They are out to sell you a dream. Education is very important, but much of it depends on your "real world" skills and your personality. Many jobs are actually checking your credit history, which I think is a crock of shit! It's none of their business. I think the criminal background and drug check is mandatory, but what the hell do they need to know how many credit cards I have? Plus, it's getting worse. The companies know that there are a thousand applicants waiting outside that same door if you fuck up. We are ALL expendable. There is NO job security anymore in this country. Remember, a younger person will always work for less money just to get their foot in the door. The employee with seniority that has his salary capped off can easily be replaced.
