Where's your order?

The next person who ask me where is there order I think I am just going to break down and tell them the truth instead of beating around the bush! I work for a small company and the owner evidently doesn't know how to manage money. How he has stayed in business for 30 years is beyond me. We are on credit hold with our two major suppliers. I have sent orders to them not knowing we were on hold. Customers are calling me asking where the order is? These are custom orders so they do take up to 4 weeks to complete but it has been 4 weeks and the order still hasn't been started because we are on credit hold. What am I suppose to tell the customer, I refuse to lie. And I don't get paid enough to listen to these people bitch at me! The owner won't take the calls, he doesn't want to be bitched at either but he is the one at fault here. These are the things I would just love to tell him but I don't have the necessary appendage to follow through. Unfortunately I need this job until something else comes along..... #1 Don't take a customers money if you can't produce their order in the time frame you told them you would. #2 Quit spending company money to remodel your home when you have bills that need to be paid here at the business. #3 If you don't start treating your customers right you aren't going to have any customers, word spreads about bad business practice.

Companies that have been in business forever is totally beyone me. Such as the company I work for has been in business like for over 100 years actually and I am amazed how they do it with unhappy employees and the management cliques that peruse and do whatever the fuck they want!

If I were you I would go and see the owner and explain that these people are getting really pissed off but they are blaming it all on you and its not on. Suggest he starts talking to these people at least to calm them down, or if not then you will explain the truth to them as to why their order isn't with them.

You don't get paid enough to take their shit, its the same here sometimes with people being nasty over missing orders, and I dont see why i should take it. When i was younger I couldnt give a shit about customer service, but now I realise how important it is to keep these peope happy, as much as you detest them!

his email address. Let him deal with it.
This company had a period when we were not able to pay all our bills, so I would play dumb and transfer the collectors to the Owner/President/CEO. I made him deal with it. As he loves to remind everyone- it's his money!!
