A real winnerHi there this is my first post and it's a biggie! This has been a difficult thing for me to do and I have spent countless nights awake fighting my conscience on how to deal with my concerns about the corruption at Ram. After a lot of thought, encouragement, talking and advice from my husband and friends, I have to write to you. It came to me this past Monday when I read the E-mail you posted and this sentence struck me “"Michael would have been beaming with pride with this kind of recognition. He went from starting the business from the trunk of his car to getting an award from a worldwide organization like Cisco. He would have been ecstatic," MacDonald said.” Our dearly departed creator of RAM and your beloved brother Michael would be disappointed in me for not coming forth sooner, if I can call what I’m doing “coming forward”. I feel this is a coward’s way of dealing with a very serious situation but I feel no other way can be done at this time as I, or rather we, are afraid of the repercussions that would fall upon us. I will explain my reasoning later in my e-mail. Before Ram took over ESSC, I understand there was a lot of corruption within the employees. Since then, most of the people who were in the ring of thefts that were the cause of thousands and thousands of dollars in equipment stolen have been fired or quit. An example of the thefts, Cisco main boards worth thousands of dollars, they would take the boards out of the boxes, tape the boxes up and hide them on the bottom of that pile of router switches. Shocking I know but I can understand how their employees could not say anything in fear of the repercussions. Another example of thefts, cheating ESSC out of money by making false claims through expenses and purchases that they were able to hide somehow and I am sorry I’m not able to give you more details but I do not want to give you identifying information about who my contact was that informed me of the thefts. That, I believe, is the main reason ESSC went bankrupt. Since we have taken over that business, I and peers have been watching the remaining employees to see if they continued their ring but we guess without the key people in to whom they could trust were removed or replaced, the crimes seemed to stop. Unfortunately, we were wrong and in fact, found Ram employees have joined them. If I were to go into more detail from this point, my peers and I would be uncovered and in danger of retaliation from the members who are in management and we work with every day. Yes, Alan, I am afraid key people whom you trust are the main figures in this crime ring. All I can do at this point is tell you who we know, where some of the proof is and trust you will be able to catch them. Most of them are very smart and leave no traces. Employees who were aware of their actions confronted them and they were threatened with violence and then fired or scared from the company and to my shock never took any action but I can only guess the threats must have been strong ones. I would recommend, Alan, that you have the police investigate the location I am going to provide you for some of the proof and then investigate the people quietly because the ring has many members that are privy to the most delicate of information and have been able to hide or dismiss similar investigations in the past. Some of the file folders that are in locked cabinets, with the proof of false claims put in by people, were stolen when some of the crime ring found out they were under suspicion. Vince Abel, TSD department, is one of the ring leaders and so was Kevin Modley, although he quit once he knew an investigation was taking place. His wife still works in the TSD department of RAM and also took part in some of the fraud. Vince not only is a thief and dishonest but in general a poor member of the management team. I can imagine what you must be thinking right now. Wondering if what I am saying is true, then why employees under his command and management aware of corruptions have not come forth but as I stated, fear is a powerful weapon. Vince threatens violence and job dismissal if they cross him. Steve dismisses concerns and brushes off accusations. We also believe he has authorized raises for employees for silence. Steve is very good at his job and works hard but is also the cause of a lot of low employee morale that in fact as you know causes productivity to drop. If you want honest opinions and information, I would suggest you give your employees a way to be honest with you about concerns within the company and about people like Vince, Rosita, Steve and others without fear of repercussions. Provide them with a tool to talk to you anonymously via e-mail or calling you from a pay phone at a selected time. I can imagine that if they feel safe, you will get a lot of information about the bad apples within our great team. I have received information that some of the stolen items from RAM are located at Vince’s mother-in-law’s property, in her barn or garage. Items such as televisions and computer equipment such as printers, monitors and laptops. I know you will take the information provided and investigate further. I pray you will not attempt to know my identity or that of my peers. Our fear is real and we are not only fearful of our jobs but for our health and well-being. I am sorry for not coming forth sooner and I would rather have kept looking the other way but Ram deserves better than this sick and repulsive conduct within its ranks. I feel sorry that you all meet him-but that's what cocaine does to you- Thanks for telling me where he works. Management will hear about his past-I can promise you all that. I think you should let it go sounds like this guy is as bad as my boss from my last job. Don't let it consume you. If this is the same Vince Able that works at Metafore OMFG I'm going to die. The owners just hired a Vince Able and he will be my manager. If you signed a confidentiality agreement, you might find that it doesn't terminate when your contract is terminated. By mentioning names and companies, you could still get into a fair amount of strife. Be very very careful of what you post. RE:KiKi OMFG! Seems to me you need to steer your focus elsewhere. You seem pretty passionate about your work/workplace. I would be more concerned why it is that you yourself were not part of that "management team"...but, simply one who detested those above you. Asshole? Hate him? Jail? How about....quit? How about....find a new job? I have had the pleasure of working with Vince for many years. Not only do I respect him as a person...I respect him as a professional. You mention him "befriending" employees. Some may think, that is why he is where he is today. He is very loyal to those that "work" for him. He knows who "works" for him...and, if he so happens to treat those individuals differently...there maybe a reason for that, outside of "snorting lines together on their HP laptops". *shaking my head* BTW...he left Nex..willingly and by his own wishes. His new employer knew what he was about, knew his track record for producing results in the industry...and made him an offer based on their desire to grow as a company. Just as an added tidbit. I still keep in contact with him. He is doing very well. He continues to strive in his management position, continues to make his new employer's customers happy...and suprisingly enough...this ASSHOLE still has customers banging down the door to be serviced by the teams he seems to always manage. BTW...no wonder you never made it to management. Learn how to f-cking spell. oh ya - one more thing. There are these things that came about in the 1920s. They are called commas and periods. I quit my job with RAM to take a better position and I am still at this job and doing just fine thank you. I left on good terms with management. You guys can all continue to bash people all you want. I just think it's kinda sad that you are all hanging on to these feelings after such a long time. I welcome all the silly and petty replies that will follow this post.
