Revelation

For the past two months or so I had been looking for another job. Tons of resumes sent out with no response, some interviews that led to nothing...additional stress I just don't need. The last three calls I had for interviews, I didn't bother to call back. I have hung up my resume, so to speak. I've come to the revelation that its really not my job I hate, Its the people that drive me insane. Crazy lazy people that take no initiative and constantly get away with it. What I am afraid of is, what happens if I take another job, say I have to drive further, or work later, what happens if I find myself surrounded by lazy lame heads again??? I wouldn't be able to cope with it. So, the last month or so I decided I should just do what I have to do, and not let these idiots get to me. Stay quiet and try not to get too upset or stressed. After all, whats the point of it all? It is a stuggle though. They test me! Come to my desk and ask stupid questions, try to annoy me...do little and do nothing all day...It's hard to ignore it. Theres a saying, something like "wherever you go you have to take yourself with you" so, wherever I go, people with most likely work my nerves. In the end, I just have to learn to not sweat the small stuff. So much easier said than done!

Unfortunately thats a chance we all have to take. I tught that about my new job - maybe they could turn out the same way, but I have experience of dealing with dicks and I konw what I will and wont put up with any more.

Generally when you start a new job everyone is nice - and sometimes thats all you need to get a break from where you are. I have started to think that ajob CAn be what you make of it. Some are just shit anyway - but I personally have gone to the new place with a whole new attitude and I try not to take any of my past problems with me. I treat everyone different and I seem to be getting on ok with everyone.

But sometimes the risk is worth taking - if you dont try you'll never know.

You say that it's the workers that drive you insane...same here. Try looking at it this way....You are there for the pay. Make as much money as possible. FUCK THEM ALL!!!!

YOUR MOTIVATION IS MONEY. YOU WORK HARD TO MAKE YOURSELF LOOK GOOD, NOT FOR THE GOOD OF THE COMPANY.

No matter where you go, there will be stupidity, the thing is, if you are going to put up with stupidity, they better pay you for it.

I face the same thing you do, in fact, we all do. I could survive where I'm at but not at the money they pay me. If they paid me what I'm worth, then I'd stay, but since they underpay, I will not stay.

Shit stinks no matter where you go. If you gotta smell it, at least get paid well for it.
