Me: Hey, In-House Travel Agent Guy, the Big Boss is going to Milan to meet with a potential client. What are the rates and is there still room available in Hotel A, Hotel B, Hotel C and Hotel D?

In-House Travel Agent Guy: Hotel A costs a buttload, Hotel B is also a buttload, Hotel C is a mega-buttload and Hotel D costs for one night what you make in one week.

Me: The Big Boss is meeting Potential Client at Restaurant X at 123 Via Something Italian, which is in the Brera district, and wants to stay in the hotel closest to the restaurant. Since two of my co-workers are out sick today and I'm swamped with their work, would you do me a favor and find out the distance between each hotel to the restaurant?

IHTAG: Hotel A is the only one that indicates that it’s about 1 mile from the Brera Art Gallery. I believe our firm has something like Google Earth where they can find out if these hotels are close to the Brera district or not. (IHTAG then undoubtedly goes back to checking his eBay auctions.)

Me: I’m not aware of us having such a computer program, but do you have time to map it out for me?

IHTAG: Hotel A is 1 mile from the Brera Art Gallery, Hotel B is about 1.2 miles away, hotel C is about 1 mile away.

Me: Is the Gallery close to the Restaurant?

IHTAG: Here’s a link with a review of the Restaurant showing that it’s in the Brera.

Me IMing a Friend: The fuck? I know where the Restaurant is.

My Friend: HAW HAW. When are you quitting this job?

Me on the phone to IHTAG: Can you find the distance between from the hotels to the restaurant?

IHTAG: I can’t find an address for Restaurant X in Mapquest.

Me: But you have the address. I put it in the first e-mail, and it’s 123 Via Something Italian.

IHTAG: Oh.

A few minutes later . . .

IHTAG: Yeah, that address isn’t showing up on Mapquest. So! Which hotel should I book?

Me (going to Google Maps and seeing that the address comes up easily): Could you try Google Maps? The address works on that site.

IHTAG: Oh.

Three hours! It took three hours to babysit that moron through that process! Holy shit but my co-workers suck.
