Out of the frying pan and into the fire?? Please help

Well, isn't this fan-fucking-tastic?

My job search was once again reinvigorated when my boss came in on a Sunday and I was not in - I had taken some Sundays off (we work Sundays but play with our balls for a few hours and waste the entire day in traffic)because I told him it's either Sunday's or days off work - I have exams and he doesn't give a shit about that or me - other companies pay for their employees to better themselves professionally, every dime comes out of my pocket - but that's another story.

I was coming in with my colleague whose car was broken (my exams had finished and I took off 4 Sundays to cover a years course) and so we didn't attend work - my other colleagues fucked me in that the boss came in (a rare occurrence) and they talked on the phone so my broken car colleague called to say he wasn't coming in - and didn't tell me. I got an earful on the phone and he said in passing don't come in anymore.

After calming down I did, but only to give one months notice or so I thought - then - a Miracle - I got an interview with a new company - I went there, and we hit it off - and two days later I got an offer, EXCEEDING what I had asked for. Brilliant right? I swear to you, it's about 93% MORE than my current salary.

I should be ecstatic, right? The position would mean moving 120 kms away, but fuck it. I would have a life, not working graveyard hours, i can go to the gym again with 9-6 pm working hours, 30 days paid leave a year, and included in the package are things like Annual Air Fare Allowances. WOW!

BUT - the guy who gave me the offer is a general manager of the company - they are setting up an investments division and it will be headed by someone on the board of directors. I have never met that person. I wanted to arrange a meeting, but no luck (vacation). Also, in order to shift, I would have to change visa's (a big deal) and move, pay rent in advance, etc. There's one other colleague on the department who I have also not met and they will be hiring osme more.

There's plenty of uncertainty with the new position as I will be reporting to someone different from who hired me. Also, it's a new compay and I have to change visas so exiting could be tricky once you change visas, having to find a new stone to land on or getting shafted.

In addition, the latest twist is that I CANNOT GET IN TOUCH WITH THE GUY WHO "HIRED" ME!!!

I called twice or thrice and he hasnt returned my phone calls - I was supposed to arrange sending my signed contract over. Also, I emailed him and no response. It has almost been one week. A tough one week, as I have to give one moths notice and I was going to start at the beginning of September. The clock is ticking.

Guys, this is too much - I do what I can to stay positive and keep calm, but sometimes it's very tough to not want to say "WHY ME??". The company I currently work for has been tough - a box of panadolcannot be charged to the company, as the boss has retorted "is it in our contract that I have to give you Panadol?". No binuses - the first financial services firm to do so. I got a raise only after I told the boss my Sister, who recently graduated from Uni, gets more than I do working 40 hours to my 70 hours adn 2 years on the job.

Then, we get screwed for things like "leave salary" - a concept whereby you get in cash the leave you did not take - I was not given the choice of taking leave or working, so I expected to be paid in full - WRONG! I get my "BASIC" salary, which was not in my contract, but he gave me 40% of what I was expecting. Sweet guy, yes? But, I am not in Kansas anymore (meaning a country with proper labour laws, such as jolly old England)

So please leave a comment saying what you would do - stay for a while until something else better comes along or move, if the SOB gets back to me.
