Stick it to the little peopleBy the way did I mention the job I am describing is at a Funeral Directors? How ironic. If you have read my previous blog you will know what I am on about. So I had set my personal leaving date to 15th December. That is the day I had decided I would take early Christmas holidays, never to return to this psychotic, circus tent of a job. I was going to play it cool, not letting on that I was hatching a plan to run off into the night never to be seen again. But however us, as people, have limits. And my plan was thrown into the air when I walked into the dingy office once more this morning, only to be greeted by a very WEIRDLY happy supervisor. I wanted to sit down but she was the one thing blocking my path. I gritted my teeth, smiled at her and headed for my desk, desperate to avoid another confrontation. Sure she was smiling but this woman could turn from Still Breeze to Fully Fledged Tornado before you even have time to realise your in the eye of the storm. I was approaching and she was smiling, something was up. She was watching me walk across the room and it was scaring me to be honest. I finally sat down and ruffled papers to look busy. I daren't look at her as I looked randomly in my desk drawers for some invisible object. I could hear the clicky clacky of her cheap heels approaching and my heart was literally tapping to the beat. OH THE PAIN! I could feel the tears stinging my eyes as I saw her in a blurry haze scurrying away laughing her head off. And all of a sudden, I exploded. I clenched my searing shin, and watched her standing over there pulling her tongue out at me and laughing. That was it. With all my strength I raised my right leg as high as I could and brought it stamping down as hard as I could with all the strength I could muster, onto her left foot. And as if wiping dog shit off my shoe, I moved my foot around in semi circles. She screamed in agony yelling obscenities at me and calling me all the names under the sun. I let off, walked back to my desk, picked up my coat and walked out of the door. SERIOUS NOTICE This is a serious notice to everyone who is suffering abuse at their jobs. Nobody has the right to abuse a co worker, despite their position and ranking within the company. I have had to put up with 10 months of verbal, mental and physical abuse from my supervisor, and nobody stood my corner. DO NOT LET ANYONE BULLY YOU. You are an employee just as is everyone else. If someone is bullying you, you need to do something about it. Do not sit back and take it because they will continue to hurt you. Please sort it out as soon as you can, and if necessary take legal action. I have been worn down by my supervisor and I have let her control my life for too long. At the end of the day, work is a way to pay the bills. Our health should not have to suffer too. So please heed this warning and if youre being bullied put a stop to it. It'll be the best thing you ever do. |
