This may sound strange to most, however I know I will have the merriest of merry Christmases this year. As a currently unemployed person, I have no work stress to worry about, nothing I have to dread going back to, and I get to spend an extra couple of days with my family after Boxing day - without going straight back into work.

Im not unemployed by choice, Im on sick at the moment and Ill be able to look for a job in the middle of January. But for now, NO STRESS, NO OVERTIME, NO OFFICE POLITICS, NO PROBLEMS FROM COLLEAGUES, NO WORRYING THROUGH CHRISTMAS THINKIN, 'SHIT, IM BACK AT WORK TOMORROW'

Pure, quality family time. A chance for me to rest and recouperate from my illness, enjoy being with my family, and appreciate what I have.

And not one thought of work is going to be clouding my mind and stressing me out. I'll leave that for when the sick note runs out!
