stupid interns

why why WHY are interns paid more than the engineers? if we all worked 40 hour weeks i would be making more than the know-it-all-really-don't-know-shit and lazyass interns...however i put in about a 50-55 hour week and i am salary (no overtime) but they just got raises and put in about 55-60 hour weeks getting paid buy the hour with overtime! the fuckers bring home a bigger paycheck than me and i've been here longer and have a f'in degree. i would stay and work more hours if i was pulling in overtime but NOOOO! does this problem exist with other people? i mean i don't think i would be upset if they were just here for a few months but they've been here for almost a year! and one has graduated with and still is an intern...bastard. they sit on the clock and rake it in...i wish i could punt their heads!

I did that once at a big time biotech firm before I somehow made the wrong decision of switching industries. If I had to do it all over again, I wish I could stay an intern/co-op forever. Little responsibility and nice hourly pay with overtime. I was still an intern even after graduating, but that wasn't my uh..."fault". If it makes you feel better, eventually I got laid off - which will probably happen to your Interns.
