I Got A New Job. Oh Well...

Well, I got a new job. After talking so good about my current job, I actually had a better job fall into my lap. As of Monday morning, I was looking forward to another week at Johnny's Pizza, now it's Thursday night and I just finished my last shift at Johnny's. I know a month from now I will be writing venomous, angry words on this site, but right now I'm just a little excited to be doing something that doesn't require kissing customer ass. Now I'll be kissing my boss'es ass over at Chase Mortgage.Granted it's temp work, but it starts at $8.50/hr with unlimited overtime, or so I've been told. But in inimitable Morvayne style, I'm gonna stay optimistic until evidence that that they're screwing me over is beating me over the head. Everybody wish me luck and if anyone works for Chase, please speak and let me know what I'm getting myself into. I have trouble assuming the worst in situations like these.

How can a company the size of Chase pay such shit money for ANY position. Goddam, these greedy bastards. How the fuck do people survive on this kind of money, I have no idea, at least it's not possible in any major US city.

It feels good right where you are, getting out of a job and starting something else new.
It is going to look good on your resume, Chase Bank Mortgage. What are you going to do there? Keep in mind, at 8.50, they are getting a deal. Learn as much as you can. Treat everyone as you want to be treated. Keep your eyes out for better.
Good Luck! Keep us posted!

Thanks. I know 8.50 isn't much, but since I own my trailer, I only have to pay $95 a month lot rent and utilities. And I'll be getting a check every week instead of every two weeks. From what I figured, since I have to work a 50-hour week minimum, it should come to about $1600 a month before taxes. I've also got a refund check coming which will help me get caught up.

Keep in mind that you are number one, get paid as much as you can. Get all the experience you can from Chase Bank too, they are huge, take what you can (as far as experience).
