High School Drop Out - College Grad

this is my first post to my favorite site. i dropped out of hi school and got a job. i quickly realized that my 3 years of education was not going to be a good thing. yup I said 3 years of education, if I had graduated i would of had 4 years of education. think about it...hi school grads and college grads are proud of the fact that they have 12 or 16 years of edumucation. guess again....if you are a hi school grad you really have only 4 years of workable knowledge. i do not earn a living with the things i learned in kindergarten - 8th grade.

guess what....you get $10 an hour as you have the knowledge and skills of a child.

college grads have 4 more years to do one thing....to learn how to learn.

now we have a professional with 8 years of education. you now get $25-75 an hour. grad school adds a few more years to the heap...kinda like a college trade school...getting more specialized.

what should that be worth? you know what to do to earn more cash...perform a function that is more valuable than what you get paid. service workers, office professionals, low skill hi tech jobs are just that....you are getting paid for the 4 years of education that you are proud of.

yup I am jadded. no one wanted to treat me with respect as a hi school dropout...same with my BS and MS....no respect.

things changed when I turned 30 - I now have actual life experience and have enhaced my education beyond the 4 years that people are so proud of. screw you hi school grad...and college grad that thinks you are entitled and privledged to a better life.

mommy and daddy didn't pay for my edumucation and guide me through hi school. yup I am the burn out that is offering you the job of a lifetime...at $10 an hour...

you get treated like shit from these people...i was treated like shit for a decade...you are 21 and have 8 years of edumucation...welcome aboard 8th grader...

after post grad studies i had to join the army for 8 fucking years to have all of my student loans paid off. fuck you entitled 8th grader....

i have to put up with 4th graders that treat me like shit....i have to put up with entitled people and bosses.

remember...be nice to those burnouts as they probably are going to be your boss. I put up with mind numbing dribble from everybody...that is entitled or edumucated.

the problem is that it is called fucking work....and that sucks. well back to work. time to read more posts from some very unhappy entitled edumucatrf folks.

revenge of the smokers....

college grads now are offered jobs for $9-$10/hr. You are fucking lucky had extra 4 years of making $10/hr. Now college grads make that shit and OWE about $30K in fucking student loans. You are lightyears ahead of these fucks coming out of schools right now. College education is shit these days. Worthless in the job market. I'm sure it doesn't hurt, but it sure as fuck does not help as much as you think. The key today is to get a good skill set, whether it be computers, truck driving or whatever. Fuck the degree. I found out the hard way after being stuck in the fucking school for years and spending shitload of money(which I still owe, and will probably pay for the next few years ONLY, I'm one of the lucky ones. The dumb ones go to schools costing $20K or more per year and graduate with a shit degree being $100K or more in debt). Good luck paying off $100K fucking school loans at 6% or higher rate, and that shit is not dischargeable in bankruptcy any more. A fucking virutal mortgage. You'll be lucky making $10-$12 gross income, that is PRE TAX my friend. The system is all fucked up, it matters not if you have a degree but who you meet while you're in school(who you do coke with and get wasted with) and who's ass you kiss. That is how it really works. Not many people get jobs these days because they are smart, that is the biggest bunch of bullshit I have ever heard of.

It really is about who you know. All the jobs I've had was because somebody knew someone who knew someone else. I've done more interviews than I've had jobs, and all the "cold" interviews (i.e.: the ones that I got by simply responding to an add or job postings) never led to my being hired. Do you know what that does to one's self esteem? :)

i always get these cold nut suckers....it can crush you...i now apply to every job posting in my field and I do not even read the job description...i interview a couple times of month to stay polished so that when the fuck does give me a shot for that smokin job...i am on it like ass stink. and I make good contacts in every area of the Country.

had a interview with a huge vegtable producing company for a top executive slot...the first two minutes I could not believe how this edumucated fuck was talking to me...like I just fell of the truck...we hung up on each other..mutually. but for the chance at this job i would take the shit...and fucking roll on him once i came aboard....see let them tell you that you are not good enough...give them that chance because it only takes one really good job to start fucking with the privledged..

i am white trash and took out all the cash I could for a college edumucation...who else would lend trash money...I went to a in state school and went all the way...I got more money as I stayed in school...not cause i am smart..i just figured out the game...

entitled and privledged fuckers already got there edumucation and passed a law so that i could not file bankruptcy on my loans...like the doctors and politicians before me....and developers...fuck! I considered going to Canada to escape the virtual mortgage that would monkey fuck me for 30 years....

after 8 years as a enlisted soldier they paid it all off. now its my turn...

i have a few edumucated friends that take work for $15 to $20 an hour. here is the difference...they had no pop, zing or rapport....the entire game is about social engineering...if you are entitled and privledged you may not make it on your own merit. you may need the big dick daddy to give you a shot, or put a down payment on your house.guess what now the smokers are going to fuck you.

it does not matter what level you feel you are at in a profession as there is always a bigger dick, or better ass.just get to a position that allows for a few extras...try to get some type of shit umbrella.

let them say no...don't defeat youself...reinvent youself...go to a job board and see what pays the most, study the area....and represent yourself as a professional...its about being at the right place with the right attitude...not a fucking drone, edumucated entitled and privledged worker.

i still get shit on....but my umbrella is a little bigger so i don't get the full dump.

yup I get put in my place...but not to often and not by to many people...cause i am a likable person...no one wants to ream a nice person.

sorry about my blubbering post.....

fuck em all...let HR sort them out..

Well I have to agree with a lot of what was said; however, its still possible to get a good job these days believe it or not. What does that entail. Well let you tell you my little story. Yes, I went to college and got a shit degree that I use absolutely nothing of it. In fact, I could argue my high school diploma is worthless. I think one of the biggest misconceptions about educations these days is that your going to get a job or job title with that compliments your degree or study of background. Probably only true if you truck driving school and you now drive trucks. Higher education should teach you to think and how to be a continued learner. For most people that obtain a degree should prepare you to learn to adapt and change keep your self marketable in the job market. Now when I went to school/college, I already knew that it didn't fuckin matter what degree I got. I knew I was going to be working for medium to large sized business more then likely. So I took all the bullshit classes they offered got all A's for the most part and a B or two. Then when I graduated I made the mistake a lot people make, I took the first job that offered a living wage (FYI, $10 an hour is not a living wage) and good benefits. I got smart and woke up to the fact that this company was bullshit. I did not do my homework when I took this first job of mine and up and quite. I then decided to polish up the resume, and do real research and work for a company that I could match with per company culture wise, pays good, and had awesome benefits. It took me 5 months of doing nothing but job hunting to find this job that I am in now.

Jobs suck now. Anyone telling you that the job market is great is in LalaLand. Maybe you can get lucky and land a decent job, but only if you're well liked enough. I made the mistake of actually thinking that the PTB gave a hoot about the young people. Now, I realize that most of my generation will get its clock reamed. I don't carry any college debt anymore, thankfully.

As for anyone going to school, you'd better not pay more than $10K / year tops. You need to be able to obtain a salary in your first year OUT that pays an annual salary equal to what you spent on your whole degree. Problem is, most jobs nowadays don't pay more than 30K and that's if you're lucky. I've heard of accountants (not CPAs) who are being asked to work for $8/hour in the Los Angeles area! That's right, $8/hour! No wonder no one takes college seriously anymore. This is the reality you are running against. Most college degrees nowadays don't have any payoff to them. You (collectively, no one in particular here) can regurgitate everything you hear from the 'experts' and the media and your neighbors, you can bury your head in the sand and pretend it's okay, but that is reality.

Right here in the USA...major corp. Paying SHIT wages. Do you know how many stupid continuing education classes you have to take from HR Block each year? It's just cheap. They are fucking cheapest scum company I have ever worked for. $7/hr my friends to prepare tax returns they charge minimum $120 and take 30min to do. Lots of times with all the fees and shit they charge well over $200-$300 for stupid tax return, many times even more. Fucking dicks. I still don't understand why dumb ass people go there to do their taxes. It's not like it's that hard. I took all the classes I could for free while I was there and I said fuck it. Not worth the gas money to go to the office.
This is how you really get rich, charge customers up the ass and pay workers shit. The capitalist fucked up way.
