Promises promises!

This fucking company I work for is nothing but a big load of wankers who can't keep their fucking promises.

I wrote a 40 page MANUAL on the implementation and troublshooting of some network equipment because I am the only person in the company who KNOWS how this shit works. What really pisses me off, is I was promised $2000 for the work on this manual as it would be beneficial. I slaved my ass off and produced the document and what did I get in return ... "Thanks for the manual" and it gets uploaded to the fucking company knowledgebase.

I called my boss and reminded him, "What happened to that $2000 you promised me for that critial documentation?" to which he immediately avoided the subject and made an excuse that he would call me back later. That was days ago.

I booked a visitation with a customer ages ago and couldn't make it due to a failure in some equipment that I had to tend to. I tried calling the customer back, but they were away. Which means that if I had have turned up, they wouldn't have been there anyway.

Later on that day, I get a pissed off regional manager berating me about "Making promises I can't keep". WHAT THE FUCK? She should talk. I have a list of customers that she has made promises to and hasn't kept, but felt the need to take a ONCE ONLY incident out on ME! It turns out the customer felt the need to bag me, and make me look like I was the person at fault.

What is every more infuriating is that the customer called at 1:30pm, the appointment was at 11:30am, and the customer told the silly bitch that I was supposed to be there at 1:30pm - I showed her the job card and immediately shut her up that way.

Why are managers so full of double standards? I justify all my time, and yet again, they can slack off and coffee with their ex-bosses whenever they feel the need to. And those of us that WORK HARD are made to feel like we're nothing.

This is NEVER going to happen again.

When requested to start documentation phase for ANY project, it means the project is coming to a close. Standard Operating Procedure (my own) is that I start a hot and heavy job search. In the documentation phase everyone is a liar, especially management. Everyone realizes that they will soon be reassigned or more likely let go (in IT).

This is especially true in highly projectized organizations.

Good Luck

I ended up getting a $3,000 pay increase!

I got a call from my Boss, his Boss, AND the CEO saying how I was a valuable asset to the company.

I nearly passed out with joy! For once, this week has gone off without a hitch.

I wasn't actually on the projects team, I'm in another department altogether, but I got called on to document the equipment, configuration, and the installation procedures.
