The Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi

So its Saturday and I'm already dreading going back to work on Monday. As mentioned in my previous blog, I found my job posted on the internet last Saturday. I was growing suspicious because for about a month, my workload was increasing about 3 fold and my manager has been giving me the cold shoulder treatment. Finding the posting solidified it. I need to get out of that hellhole.

So I went to work last Monday and acted like I knew nothing. The week sucked. There were piles of work on my desk. Everyday, I had nine or so separate projects I had to complete that day. Amazingly enough, I got them all done each day. In secret, I had made plans to meet with one of the best headhunters in my Industry.

Friday came, I ditched work and went there. My headhunter already has me in mind for a bunch of upcoming work . . . at higher pay. It was good to hear someone liked my work and thought I had a lot of talent. I haven't heard positive feedback in seven months, so it was finally good to hear. While I was out, apparently a fiasco at work was happening in which I ultimately took the blame for (even though I wasn't there). A miscommunication on some package that went out ultimately got blamed on me. Looking at my email and notes from the day, I can't find anything to substantiate my manager's claims. Eh, whatever. They can blame me if they want. They were already are looking for my replacement beforehand and I'm sure I make a nice, easy target.

The bottom line is: I don't get paid enough to do 1/8th of the work I am currently doing for these LYING, UNETHICAL, BACK-STABBING, UNGRATEFUL BASTARDS, let alone take responsibility for my managers fuckups. The other thing is, I know that even when I leave this place, my skills and talent will land me a better job (one I am working on landing right now).

The "coup de gras" will come when I get the new job. This company, for the shit they have put me through, aren't getting any notice. I'm going to pick up my last pay check, say "I QUIT" and be done with them. I learned a while ago that no matter how I leave this company, they will bad-mouth me. They did it to my predecessor, who gave them almost a month to replace him. Give notice or not, it won't matter.

The losers here are the assholes in the company I work for. They put themselves in this position. The funny thing is, they don't realize that they are the ones who are fucked. I can't wait to be the one to show them what happens when you do shit like this.

I would, but those bastards are too cheap to even provide office coffee.
