I am in a situation where I have worked for a company I put on top with a contract trained a new worker and the pigs are sceeming to hire htis hype freak as asupervisor after 40 days. They think they are hiding it behind my back, bu the two idits back stabbing cats can'rt even kee there stories staight one says oh yeh when I wen to see you to terminate my insurance this after the idot boss had just said her insurance stays the same since the day she was hired. What complete idots, what can I do but complain on boards like this until I find a another job ( after making the blood sucking verments look good) . 1. Notify the boss that " was 10 minutes late today!" and hope like hell they grill them over it.
2. Follow the boss/supervisor around and point out all the little flaws in everyone elses tasks except your own.

Just because your little office situation is nice and cozy, and you more than likely have some SNAG (sensitive new age guy/gal) to micromanage your team and have weekly hugging sessions while singing a company song, it doesn't mean thats what the rest of us get in our jobs.

1) have never had 3 kids to feed

2) have no inkling as to how the rest of humanity lives - (i.e. not everyone works in a cube farm) there are places called 'factories' out there and words like 'redundancy'

3) think everyone has equal access to self-education/promotion (unless you're a female of course)

4) believe job hopping to bigger and better things is a real option for the working class person w/ a job at Kmart

I'm not saying it is a bad thing to be happy with one's circumstances, chances are, they are more than adequate for you at the moment. Sometimes the money trap is what keeps people in their employment, regardless of job satisfaction.

Sure keep your nose to the grindstone in any field (as my university vice-chancellor lectured us at my graduation ceremony) and you'll only achieve great things - this from a woman from a privileged background with several degrees/luncheon commitments a week.

I frickin' tell you, you can suck the boss's dick 5 days a week, at the end of the day you are still a frickin' receptionist 'oh Mary got promoted to CEO because of her super laminating skills and wonderful phone manner!' MY ASS!!!

I recently left my contract because I hated it and because it was not what I wanted to do - yes unemployment sucks but I have a new job on Monday and most likely, a new asshole to work under. I have a psychology degree that I cannot use, now YOU TELL ME to go into the office grinning like a fucking Cheshire cat when I will be doing data entry for a living - tell me about the job satisfaction I will achieve doing menial chores when I am most likely more qualified than my boss. I have bills to pay. It's a fact of life, if only mummy and daddy could have supported me through a Master's degree.

If you were to posess an iota of compassion in comparison to the far-spanning smart-ass rhetoric you seem to have honed to a fine art, you would be a notch above from the dross of humanity. Which begs me to ask the question, if you are so content, why trawl this messageboard? Why aren't you using your spare moments to become a motivational speaker and work even fewer hours for more self-gratification.

as although he appears to have blindly accepted the sycophantic good-worker-ethics and lacks the creativity to usurp and manipulate his employers just for a bit of sport, he does make some good points.
I'm sure us grumpy lot would much rather have an occupation which we hoppity-skipped off to every day, but unfortunately that isn't something i've felt like doing for a while.
OK, that's my fucking fault and i have actually done something about it [amazing, even us slackers can get almost delirious with motivation sometimes....]
