work sucks

I have the most depressing job in the U.S. If you don't believe just log onto cbsnews.com and read it for yourself. Somedays I think about how great it would be to get into a car accident just so that I'd have an excuse to not have to go to that hellhole. I'm a CNA...and a college student, don't worry this is temporary. I wipe asses while trying to preserve the patient's dignity at teh same time. The majority of patient couldn't give a shit about us. They demand and demand things like we are their slaves. Their are patient in their 40's who get so fucking lazy they actually ask to be fed...not because they can't but because they are fat lazy assholes who get a jolly out of other people's misery. It's a job where you want to tell people to fuck off but all you can do is smile (or quit). The pay sucks, hence the shitty, lowlife, uneducated, people I work with. The patient/CNA ratio doesn't exist in a hospital so there for you get stuck with 13+ patients and god forbid a RN (with her fancy associates degree) help you and put someone on a bedpan. In nursing home facilities it's even worse and I refuse to work their cause I'd definitely slit my wrist at that point. Our boss never says thank you. No matter hard hard we work and how compassionate we are and how many baths we give and prayers we say with patients...it's never enough. The pay sucks, the job sucks, 80% of the patients suck, the boss sucks, the company sucks. I'm taking 18 units at college and working full-time and can't wait to get the hell out of here.

a summer job once doing the same thing. I basically wiped ass and bathed residents. The only difference is that these people could not do it for themselves. Most of them were physically and mentally handicapped. It sucked regardless. I can sympathize.

My job sucks too, but luckily I don't have to deal with people, but I get pretty lonely in my cubicle, and the carpal-tunnel syndrome is kicking in already at the ripe age of 21.

I have a college degree and the pay sucks. My boyfriend works in a factory, is only a high school graduate and he makes $6/hr more than me! Good luck honey, don't worry, college will be over sooner than you know. (I wish I could go back)
