I am leaving. Mister X is retiring as your Moderator.

Hello Great People,

As you all know I am the Moderator here, but not the Admin who owns and runs this site.

I have just e-mailed the Admin telling him I am retiring as the Moderator. My crazy boss-owner, out of the blue, is putting me in a part of his business that I wanted for FOUR YEARS. I gave up along time ago trying to get this position.

Like I said he's crazy because now he's "making me" take it! Can you believe that?!?!?! He's "twisting my arm" now. It's "mandatory" now! I am over joyed. It would be WRONG to be here now and call him names. I've been training for two weeks now.

He said I could have the job years ago and finally DELIVERED on the promise. There was a small raise, but I don't care. I feel great about the move.

I came here four years ago very miserable. This site helped me through some rough times. I am grateful that this site was here. It was soothing, very soothing. However, I have to do the right thing. He gave me the job. I don't care how crazy he is. I cannot complain now, and will not complain.

The Admin will pick another Moderator, I'm sure soon. I will still monitor the site until I hear from him. However I am "offically" gone and will only moderate by deleting something but I will no longer be posting or commenting.

Here is my parting quote: "IT GETS BETTER". No matter what, it will get better for you. Until that day, FAREWELL TO YOU and I wish you all the success and happiness and love you can get.

Your friend,

Mister X

Oh boy, a whole two weeks training he he he! You'll be sure to do well with a whole TWO WEEKS training. Any job that it takes you 4 years to get you cannot do. You will most likely fall flat on your face and get shitcanned before the month is out. I would be seriously plagued by self-doubt if I had to work 4 years to get a job I wanted. Usually it's the employers who come running after me and they have to work 4 years to get me to agree to work for them. Then again, I've written 15 software products and you haven't so it shouldn't surprise me.

Well, good luck - you're gonna need it. And thanks for selling out to the corporate greedsters at the first chance and abandoning us for $. We always knew your true colors.

I bet your still wearing the clothes you BOUGHT in 1993.

All you ever say is 1993, 1993, 1993,1993, 1993, 1993,1993, 1993, 1993, 1993, 1993, 1993!!!!!!!!!!!

That was fifteen years ago. Start living in the present. Life is change and you have to change with it. All the "people" who have come to this country are not going back dude. They are going to live next door to you!

Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha!

I have respect for Mr. X for being with this site for four years as I have, I have to agree with Tandoori. I too have gone through the highs and lows with my job, but I am smart enough to realize that the highs are always short lived and would never abandon this site after finding it.

You have to wonder what makes people sell out at the first opportunity to the MAN. I know Mr. X may be going through a state of euphoria that his owner is giving him his dream shot, but one thing I have learned is that if someone is an asshole today, they are also assholes tomorrow no matter what they do for you or how your circumstances change.

Mr X needs to realize that he will be back here at some point. While his moderating is questionable at best, his longjevity with the site makes me say Congrats Mr. X and good luck. Remember this website because you'll be back and way to throw us under the bus man!!

Submitted by Mister X on Fri, 10/19/2007 - 22:24.

But I won't be back. I know what I'm doing. It's MORE than euphoria. Because I'm 56 it makes me realize I have a lot of possibilities left on the plate.

I realize "it ain't over". This proves it. The deed is done. He gave it to me. I won. Even if he pulled me out Monday, I still have a victory in life. Once you win a super bowl you can always tell people "look what I did". It can't be taken BACK. I scored. My eyes are open. You can get what you want. I get it. The path may be obscure, it may be hard, at times seem like it's never going to happen, still, you can get what you want. YOU CAN GET IT.

Knowing that, I can't be here. If I can get what I want, why would I complain? But this is now my reality. Good luck to you. I hope you find a specialty in the area of law you can enjoy. I say it's possible. Take care.

Congrats, X. I hope it all works out for you. You'll be missed. Just watch out for yourself, you never know what a psycho owner may do next. I don't feel you are abandoning us, you always said you wouldn't be moderator on this site if you weren't the real deal.

Submitted by Mister X on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 22:36.

I WAS the "real deal", but can't bitch and moan now. He just purchased $1700 worth of software and is allowing me to put it ALL on my home computer. I am thrilled. This software alone, if learned, can get me into another job easily if I acquire the skills. Thanks for your reply. Best of luck to you.

I have to bring up something you said once about good days. Good days at work are scary because they make you think everything is going to be alright, but soon that good day is over.

I do sincerely hope these are going to be good days for you. You know where we are if you need us.

Funny, my job has been bearable lately. I even ran into my previous boss before I came here. The one that fired me: BANG BANG BANG one morning and left me for dead (but I was far from dead). Anyway long story short, we still get along great and are planning a trip out to Los Angeles to see another co-worker she fired along with me. This is going to be interesting......

Submitted by Mister X on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 22:45.

I won't be going back to being "miserable". Every day is good now. My attitude has changed. He delivered. I accept. I can't condemn. I can only laugh now at my Owner's crazyness.

Imagine you won 100 million dollars. Would you EVER, EVER bitch and moan about anything? A girl leaves you (or a guy), so what?! Next!

I am not going to be "buddies" with him as that is impossible. However, I can't emotionally be angry. Thank you for replying. I wish you much more of everything you want in life. Good Luck.

But keep in mind... in your own words: "...My crazy boss-owner" and "Like I said he's crazy..."

Keep those words in the back of your head X... Crazy is as Crazy does and around the military we have a term BOHICA...

I just wrote a long reply to you but I accidentally erased it all! I hate that.

I will "watch my back". Thanks for replying. I hope you find what YOU want as soon as possible. Good Luck.

I'm pleased to see you are finally getting someting you want. I hope it works out well for you. Enjoy your days in the sun!

Submitted by Mister X on Thu, 10/18/2007 - 22:59.

Yes, I am in the sun now. It's time to go now and let someone else moderate here. I don't know who the Admin will pick, we'll see, no e-mail yet.

I wish you much more of everything. Take care.

Much like the Romans, take this new position with a grain of salt. I'm glad you kept the rif-raff out of here like Ndiezel, I just hope the next guy will do that. Just be careful X, it could be a new level of bullshit to deal with that might make the money, power, etc. not quite worth it. You basically saved my life, you saw how depressed I was before, you gave me a forum to figure shit out. How ironic, I'm jobless, but I'm more self-determined than while I had a job. Keep it evil...

Ndiezel was a one blog wonder. OK, he did two whole blogs, Big deal. If he had brains he would have written many blogs. Two blogs and his brains ran out! He was SOOOOOOOOO smart. Yeah, right.

Take care and keep with the music. Good luck.

your lack of proper English and the mistakes in grammar, I would say you came here from Asia - probably China.

No wonder you are happy about keeping Americans out of the workforce.

As for people who came to this country not going back "dude", you are dead wrong. While you are busy celebrating and partying Americans defeated FOUR immigration bills this year alone.

So you and your ilk will be going home - two years from this month in fact when the last of the 1998-2003 visas expire.

Who will be partying then.

And I am going to laugh my ass off when you fall flat on your face in your new job that it took you FOUR years to get LOL.

You will surely be missed here (by those of us with half a brain) as the voice of reason. Always objective and usually willing to give people a second chance. Probably much like you are offline, I'm guessing.

I agree with your sentiments about not coming here after receiving what you have fought for and getting it. Just on principal, which some folks cannot relate to because they apparently do not have any. Or like Tandoori, are too busy ranting and biggoting to see the forest for the goddamn trees.

I think I would do the same thing. It does not matter how it turns out for you in the new position, although I am sure it will be great. The point is, you won. You got what you wanted and no doubt earned. And you won in an even more important way, you are happier and looking forward to the future.

Good luck to you and I will miss you.

Nice send off. I like your "by those of us with half a brain". I know what you mean. Yes, I give people second and even third chances.

I want to say you write very well. You always have. I think you should write books for a living. Your words are very professional.

Sorry about the "Bent 1 & Bent 2". The Admin never wrote back about it. I did e-mail him about it.

I will miss you too. I hope you will find what YOU are looking for also. I hope you "get out" like you wanted in your second last blog. I say it will happen. You are SMART ENOUGH to make it happen. I have faith in you. I believe you can do it.

Take care and I wish you love, happiness and success.

So, we should just assume this is a happy ending for you? Let's hope it is. We'll all miss you! enjoy your time in the sun. :) Let's hope the next Moderator does as good of a job here as you did. Don't sell your soul, just because you waited four years for this job.

Submitted by Mister X on Sun, 10/21/2007 - 22:11.

Thanks for the send off. Yes, it's IS a happy ending. One of you will be picked to be moderator just as I was. Still waiting for a reply from the Admin.

You take care. I wish the best for you. I'm not selling my soul. Everything feels right, is right. You take care of yourself because all this only temporary. It has to end some time. Take care.

Sorry for the morbid title, but thanks for being the moderator, and good luck to you with everything.

BTW, what the fuck is up with Tandoori? Why are you so hateful to Mister X? He's doing what he wants--don't be so judgmental!
