Condoms anyone?

Today I had the vast displeasure of being in the same time zone of a hostile parent. I attended a zonal sports meet with the rest of my staff and school at a local stadium today, something that I could have and should have skipped altogether. The new principal had the bright idea of inviting parents who had time to travel with the group and attend, something that is not usually done, btw. Around the middle of the day I looked around to realize that most of the staff had either sneaked off or not shown up at all, and I, being the last teacher on duty had the task of handing out the boxed government lunches that were sent for the fifty-odd students present. While handing out said welfare nutrition, a student who was sitting behind me with his mother held out his hand for a lunch.

In his other hand was a half-eaten $10 hot-dog purchased by his mother.

Jokingly, (or so I thought) I said that if he had room for the hot dog and the lunch he should check his stomach for a black hole, and I handed him the lunch anyway.

His mother, who is obviously not as destitute as she would like the school nutrition board to believe, went completely ghetto on me and proceeded to "put me in my place" while her amused progeny looked on with a smile.

I have said it before and I will say it again.

THE ONLY THING THAT TEACHING HAS TAUGHT ME IS THAT SOME PEOPLE REALLY SHOULD LEARN HOW TO USE A FUCKING CONDOM.

Did I mention that this woman was attending with an obnoxious man in full (wannabe) pimp/player gear who wasn't her husband or the child's father?

I heard from a friend that the govt is threatening to let a whole bunch of us go under voluntary severance packages in 2012.

I am seriously considering taking my money and getting a job in a funeral home making up dead people with an airbrush kit.

At least they don't talk.

See my "Darwinism" post this past summer about what a total write-off this next generation is. And of course it is because they are being raised by trash.

Really, I am finally in a social and financial position where I should be starting a family, and I have NO desire to do so when I think about the shit they will have to go to school with...or work with. Makes me sad for any halfway decent kids out there.

so true on the condom remark. i love to see have dressed illiterate whores at school functions with dj jazzy trevor whose turf is the food court beotches:) i love it. also parents should do something with their assholes they are raising before other parents beat the shit out of them. i hate punks that want to jump in my face because i request of them to not be so odious while at school sporting events or band events. i am not racist in the least, now with that being said we have an insurgence of Mexicans and Guatemalans in our area. i mean holy crap. Mexico exploded here. our school went from a nice country school with no major problems to lock downs, drug searches, metal detectors and drug testing for kids in sports and band. i totally disagree with the drug testing. if they want to catch the druggies they need to be testing the emo kids and the skaters. rock on with the new career with dead people. i agree, i hate working with people who run their heads.
