What Comes After the Ponzi Economic Meltdown?

Bloated oil prices, toilet-paper dollars, inflated consumer price index, all of our national debt owned by our frienemies China and Saudi Arabia, and an unholy marriage between our political and business elites, when does it get better? I'm starting to see a silver lining despite my negative, almost Sith-like pessimism. I ask myself, if the dollar is worthless and our economy is in a shambles and incapable of any profit-generation let alone growth, then what will the Saudis and Chinese collect? And if the average wageslave, myself included cannot even afford gasoline to go to work, then how can our taskmasters make a profit if we don't produce anything of value and blow our wages on mindless consumerism to keep the entropy machine running? If everyone's credit is so messed up from endless indebture, then who will buy all the luxury cars, boats, 2500-4000 sq. ft. houses, and other frivalous bullshit that have made the soul-free banking class so powerful despite their arrogance and meltdowns of their own creation? If life is so cheap as to have a nation with little or no healthcare and a free pass to pollute the shit out of everyone and everything, then what's the point of employing people that will have their life expectancy lowered to around that of their great-granparent's generation? And with higher education having lost it's overall value due to Cyclopean tuition inflation and return on wages due to competition with the rest of the world, then what will happen when there is a powder keg of uneducated, angry, unemployable people seething under this nation's surface? Perhaps a time of great change is at hand, I'm hoping everyone who isn't a billionaire or politician in this country will try to regain their sense of self-reliance and destiny. What else is there to do but learn Mandarin, Spanish, and Arabic while we greet those who out-compete us as conquering heroes? Perhaps we're just on the bottom of the prosperity wheel, but the wheel comes around eventually, I'm hoping the American citizenry will push that SOB around with some effort, I'm getting tired of letting others tell me it's rolling just fine when the axle's about to snap off. Keep it evil...

I love Stephen King. As you read though his books, there are alot of true to life statements to quote. Great choice, Wage.

You could say I'm smarter than the average three-time college burnout. If life experience and insight were worth their weight in gold, I could buy the state of Michigan, not that I'd want to, we have a big enough hole to crawl out of in the first place... >:( If you want to improve your rants, just never stop reading as many sources of information as you can to back up your arguments. That's probably one of the few things my higher education dollars have taught me, good research and a slightly polished writing style can make it infinitely easier for others to understand you. As for anger, too much leads to the Dark Side and ends up devouring you little by little, but if you vent and turn it into something constructive, you bring balance to the chaos in your life. That buys you another day of putting up with the shitty job or that extra ounce of motivation to make time and put in the effort to find a slightly or completely better one, worked for me, who knew? Hell, that's how I figured out how to get 2 years of free full-time college on the Michigan Department of Labor. You vent, you start thinking more clearly, then you surprise yourself when you need one less cup of coffee, you quit drinking excessively, then you make things happen instead of waiting for them to happen to you, etc. Well, there I ramble again, just take some time to find out what you want and clamp down till life bleeds results. Keep it evil...

I've seen all good people turn their heads each day
so satisfied I'm on my way.

Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a
wife.

'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its news is
captured
For the queen to use.
Move me on to any black square,
Use me any time you want,
Just remember that the goal
'Sfor us to capture all we want, anywhere,
Yea, yea, yea.

Don't surround yourself with yourself,
Move on back two squares,
Send an Instant Karma to me,
Initial it with loving care
Don't surround
Yourself. 'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time and its

oh I agree, you have to channel your anger in a constructive manner and its not always easy. there's also the alternative of feeling nothing at all. That's the worst thing. What is it that Howard Beale says in Network, "but Goddamnit first you have to get mad." Yeah that's the key right there, or you just end up like that frog that Bent wrote about.
