I am a medical transcriptionist who wants very much to get out of healthcare. I found out that I have been needlessly paying taxes as an independent contractor--even though the transcription service I work for micro-manages me to the nth degree. I hate them and I can't wait to turn them in. I hope they can find someone in India to do this fucked-up job! work sucks Submitted by redwine and roses on Wed, 10/17/2007 - 18:22.

I have the most depressing job in the U.S. If you don't believe just log onto cbsnews.com and read it for yourself. Somedays I think about how great it would be to get into a car accident just so that I'd have an excuse to not have to go to that hellhole. I'm a CNA...and a college student, don't worry this is temporary. I wipe asses while trying to preserve the patient's dignity at teh same time. The majority of patient couldn't give a shit about us. They demand and demand things like we are their slaves. Their are patient in their 40's who get so fucking lazy they actually ask to be fed...not because they can't but because they are fat lazy assholes who get a jolly out of other people's misery. I'm too busy for this Submitted by CoCo on Thu, 10/04/2007 - 19:24.

As my previous blog explained, I got sucked into coordinating this new project at work. I'm not too happy but what can you do? Anyhow, there were two other people who somehow got involved with this issue as well. I decided to hold a meeting to discuss what it is we were doing exactly because there was zero communication. So I was explaining to one of the individuals the reason why I booked the meeting. She couldn't understand why she was involved. You want to know why bitch, because you fucking came crying to me for help. Since your little problem has been solved, doesn't mean that the entire issue is done. Oh no, it's just started bitch! She kept on saying that she didn't have time for this. Please, tell me what the fuck you have to do that is so important? Your stupid little newsletter? Your stupid little events? This project is critical to the operation of this organization. If this thing breaks, nobody can contact us. Do you not understand how critical this is? I know that it's not really in your job description but neither is it in mine. The only reason why I got involved is because my boss said so. However, I'm the type of person who will be involved in something until it's done. Having coordinator in your job title sucks ass!!! Submitted by CoCo on Thu, 10/04/2007 - 19:11.

I don't know if I'm the only one who notices this but if you have coordinator in your job title, you're stuck doing all of the garbage work. Here's a scenario: Manager from other dept: "I need help with this task." This has happened to me twice now. Two e-mails have literally ensured that I have more than enough work to keep me busy. Now, I'm all for learning new things and all, but what irks me is that nobody tells you anything. You basically have to relearn everything yourself by asking questions. People assume you should know this already. It's sooooo frustrating. People are so busy, doing God knows what, they cannot take 10 minutes of their time to explain to you the thread of events which led to the problem. I've surely honed my detective skills since starting work here. The work that I was originally hired to do has taken a backseat to these new projects I'm coordinating. Oh well. People will have to complain to my boss if they think the project I was originally hired to take care of is progressing slowly. Ugh. Submitted by Nymh on Mon, 10/01/2007 - 11:47.

I was talking to my husband the other day, and I came to the conclusion that I would actually be happier working at a factory than doing the job that I do. Granted, I've never worked in a factory. But I do know that the factories in my town pay about twice as much as what I make. My job is very stressful and requires a lot of knowledge, learning, working for free from home, and personal sacrifice. I think I could put up with doing the same thing over and over hundreds of times a day if I was getting paid twice as much as I am to put up with the drama, politics, and bullshit that I'm dealing with now. $19,000 a year is not much money, and considering that this year they gave me a $0.50 raise per hour I don't plan on making much more than that if I stay there. The funny thing is that the pittance of a raise came after I took on someone else's entire job after they quit the company with one month's notice. Mind you I'm still performing all of my own previous responsibilities, and having to run around like a madwoman every day to do TWO full time jobs, and they're only paying me $80 more every month to do it. Ironically, about two months after I took on this additional workload, they also started cutting overtime. So now I don't even make as much money as I did before, and I have about 7 less hours every week to do everything. New here Submitted by Nymh on Wed, 09/12/2007 - 02:13.

This is my first entry, and I just wanted to let off some steam about today. Here are just a few of the examples from today, that make me hate my job more and more every day. This morning, when I got to work, I signed in (yes, signed in...we don't have timecards, we actually write down what time we get there, promoting people to lie about when they got there) at my normal time - 7:30. About 10 minutes later, my supervisor came to me and asked, "You DO know you weren't suppoed to get here until 8:00, right?" Now, I've been at this job for over two and a half years, and I've always been scheduled to get there at 7:30. As a matter of fact, I used to get there 10-15 minutes early to get everything ready for the day and try to get a head start since none of my other coworkers ever got there on time... Sigh...I'm so busy Submitted by CoCo on Thu, 09/06/2007 - 14:36.

Ok...so I used to post here last year under a different username but decided to change it. Anyhow, I got this job last year and it's ok. My boss has good leadership skills and doesn't micro-manage. My problem is with the work environment. I work in IT at a health care centre. My job role doesn't really belong in an IT department but the people here are so stupid that my boss decided to manage this role anyways. Thank God. As I was saying, the work environment here is weird to say the least. The people in my department are cool. I don't really talk to them much but they don't expect you too. However, you'll find all sorts of crazy people working in other areas. Name it, we have it. Two years Submitted by duct taped on Wed, 08/29/2007 - 16:40.

Did anyone hear about the corporate exec at Blue Cross of CA? His policy was to cancel the private health insurance of anyone who filed a claim. But wait, it gets so much better! After he was fired he took $46 *billion* out of the company before leaving. And these are the same corporate greedsters who claim they can't hire Americans because labor costs are too high! Is America a great country or what! B.O.H.I.C.A. Submitted by Xstate on Mon, 05/21/2007 - 12:29.

So, does anyone here actually think Social Security is a good thing for us? I assume most of us are in the generations that will be screwed over by this. I think this is a big money laundering scheme designed to take your money and give it to a bunch of deatbeats. I hear everyone in the SNL congress trying to save it. Save it from what, exposure? This whole scheme sucks. What makes me mad is that some people treat it as some kind of golden entitlement that comes at the expense of everything else. Even talking of letting people opt out of it is like trying to pull teeth or sticking a broom up the butt. I hope SS goes bankrupt because I'm sick of it (ironic that Nazi Germany's police force was called the SS) and I hope it takes AARP with it too. We used to sell r18 dvd`s from our uk site before trading standerds stopped this due to video recordings act and hard core dvd`s being sent in the post,so we used to get calls from customers asking about the film content and the pictures on the covers.i never really gave it a thought people rang and i told them big this, wet that, large thing, small that, just a quick run down as to what was on the dvd.then after a few weeks i noticed that a certain guy would ring a couple of times a week and i would know his voice, lets call him MR X... Well, the queen's pussy husband asks me into his office yesterday and give me some lecture on being “professional” (meanwhile one of his demon spawn wanders the office/clinic, plays on the gym equipment, walks in and out of my workspace…she did not school because she is “sick”, my question- Then why the FUCK is she HERE? To get ME sick or the patients sick? Real pro-fes-shun-all.) Anyway, I have been working for these dumbasses for 4 mind numbing years, I have dressed in the same fashion for 4 years. Yesterday I was asked not to wear flip-flops anymore, this from a man wearing those god awful Crocs! Being asked not to wear flip-flops does not bother me, being asked not to wear flip-flops after FOUR FUCKING YEARS bothers me. The biggest annoyance is I do the insurance and patient billing for these assholes, I am back in an office all fucking day, nobody even sees me! I HATE THIS PLACE! I need money, but what is your sanity worth? You want me to clean the toliet with what? Submitted by mybossisastupid... on Tue, 05/08/2007 - 16:08.

She is CRAZY! My bitchy ass, control freak, Memo writing boss has lost her fucking mind! I am the “Office Manager” I am also the “Billing Manager” (two titles, but only one shitty paycheck) and I also clean the fucking toilets in this shit hole. (I have one co-worker and we take turns performing this sacred act). Well, the other day I told the crazy bitch we needed a new toilet brush, the one we have is nasty and we carry it back and forth between two bathrooms. And we also need some toilet bowl cleaner. Well the crazy bitch said, “You and your product. We don’t need that, just clean it out with a Clorox wipe.” I said, “I am talking about the inside of the bowl, I use the wipes on the seat and rim and so forth.” She then said, “I know what you are talking about, just take the wipe and put you hand in there and clean it up.” This is were I must draw the line! I WILL NOT CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE TOLIET WITH A CLOROX WIPE AND MY HAND! I would not even do that at home, let alone a public toilet. I don't care if your pregnant you're still a FAT BITCH! I really hate my boss. She is selfish, she's a liar, she's a control freak, she sends out STUPID memos (In which she write MEMO across the top in a HUGE font size, like a 48 or more), she bosses her pussy husband around and he jumps like she just cracked a whip (and she expects me to do the same), she thinks she is better than everyone because she is a vegetarian and claims not to eat processed sugars- which I know is a lie because she is fat at least a 24 dress size- but she blames this on a thyroid problem, not on the fact all she does is sit on her fat ass eating yogurt covered raisins all day… And now she is pregnant with her third child, her other two are little BRATS and she is a bad parent, I once ran into her at a department store, she was sitting on her ass “looking at patio furniture” and her kids (ages 2 & 4 at the time) were running up and down the isles and screaming…this was acceptable behavior in her book, the children were not reprimanded (my son would NEVER, in fact, he has seen/heard at children acting in this fashion and told me “those kids don’t know how to act in public”) needless to say she SHOULD not be having anymore children (we won’t g o into the niece she “saved” from her parents and treats like SHIT) Anyway, the whole point on this rant is because she thinks being pregnant gives her the right to be a even bigger bitch and it doesn’t! |
