I used to love going to my old job and then a new GM came in and took over and fucked it all up so I left to be closer to home and now I AM IN HELL. My current job is the worst one yet...I have a p---y for a boss. He has no balls to look you in the face or confront you about an issue he will get others to do his dirty work. He even tries to get me to come down on people and write them up. I had to suspend someone from another department because my dickless boss was off that day and apparently could not be called in for such nonsense.

well well well did i not call it correctly? Gone by the fourth of July!! Couldn't handle the pressure, ya should have just listened to me from the get go. Anyway, another gm bites the dust, gone and forgotten already. So, just wanted to add how much i friggen hate annoying cheap ass hotel guests, especially in the summer time, all the creepy ones come out, just to torment me I do believe. Note: If you walk into a hotel and see a huge sign on the front desk that states "sold out, no rooms" do not by any means ask the clerk if they have a room!! Duh. No im not holding any rooms back no i cannot build you a room and NO I DO NOT KNOW WHAT HOTEL HAS AVAILABILITY.

I am really getting tired of this. I work at a crappy retail job right now and am making minimum wage. I have been working there for over a year now. I am tired of this job and this is not what I went to school for. I recently graduated with an associate's degree in travel, tourism and hospitality and would like to transfer and get my bachelor's but right now, why should I go into more debt when I can't even get a decent job with my associate's. I am piss ass broke, live in my own apartment, never have money (have credit card debt up the ass and have student loans to start paying back in August) and can't even find a second job at all. I suppose it could be that I walked out of a job last year at Tim Horton's but for f**k's sake, are people not allowed to make mistakes. I left for personal reasons and needed to leave and people should look at the fact that I stayed there four years before walking out. I have applied everywhere from travel agencies to pizzerias in town and am getting NOTHING. Maybe its because I have no management experience yet- I don't know what the reasoning is but I am so sick of this. I am a loyal worker who does show up to work everyday and am NEVER late and always do what I can to get a job done. I am sick of employers not giving someone a chance before even getting to interview someone. One particular travel agency told me to send my resume and they'd call me back and of course, they never did. And I've tried calling them but get the runaround. AAA

So yesterday was payday at Motel Hell. Since I pissed everybody off on Monday, I waited until 7pm last night to pick up my check so I wouldn't be forced to converse with The Whorebag and her minions. Her son was hanging out at the front desk, but I don't think he saw me. I grabbed my envelope and fled, and didn't even look in it until I got to the bank. Lo and behold, there were TWO checks inside. The full one owed me and one for the last three days I worked (which was in a new pay period). Guess they don't want to see me again. Yeah. Pardon me while I go cry a big fucking river of horsetears over that.

Today was my last day in your shitty hole of a motel. No more of your cunty, ungrateful demands, no more having to pick up the slack because your Golden Girl missed yet another shift. No more listening to Miss Motormouth at the front desk and no more cleaning up after old people who shit the bed and missed the damn toilet, and drunk people's fucking puke. Hi to all, and sympathy for all my fellow sufferers. Had a horrible day at my horrible job. Trying to be happy to HAVE a job, but it's really hard. I had a bad fall and hit my head (not on the job site so I can't get workman's comp, ha ha)but it's affected my work performance. Feeling better, but my hands are in horrible condition; I have to have my hands in water constantly, and now they are a mess, all cracked and sore, and I fell on my right hand in the fall. It hurts so much I go home and cry. (Anyone's got any hand remedies, please feel free to share!) I hate my job and my life. Feel better now for blogging.

This is the last instance where it applies to me.

About 3 months after starting to work at my current job, I found out that our wireless internet only covered 1/5th of the hotel rooms. My manager kept mentioning the fact that we need to improve our wireless network, but the owners of the hotel didn't want to spend the $5,000 it would cost for a pro to come in and redo the entire hotel. So I decided to ask if my boss would like me to redo the wireless for the hotel. My manager was thrilled, said it would save the company alot of money, and that I'd get tons of recognition within the company, and be 'rewarded' for the job.

Well, this being my first blog and my first blog entry, I'm not sure how to really start this out.
I guess some background info would be nice huh?

You can call me Monroe. Its not my real name, but just as many people know me by it.
I've worked in customer service since i was 15 years old, so the past 8 years. (damn thats a long time...)
I've worked in hotels for the past year and a half. Two hotels to be exact.
The first hotel I was at for a year, and I've been at my second hotel for the past 6 months. I'll just refer to them as hotel 1 and hotel 2, as to not give away what chain they are, or thier locations.

I work at fast food restuaraunt. Fuck the customers! "But Mike, Mike aren't the customers always right?" FUCK NO! The customer is a dumb-ass. There are no 2 ways around it. Like the dumb-asses who accuse me of getting the price wrong. I type it into the fucking computer and it displays the price. Then they accuse me of ripping me off. Usually I have printed off a reciept, triple checked the price and spit in the coffee at this point. But noo this isn't good enough so he yells back "Get here manager" So my manager comes wadeling to the front and gives the asswipe a discount just to spite me. What a fucking ass clown. However, if it these wern't the only customers that made me want to throw hot coffee on their crotches the job might be bearable. Next are the old women with sandy crabby vagina's who don't fucking realize that if you order three sandwhiches and 2 bagels through dive thru your'e gonna have to wait or when ther are 7 cars infront of you who all are ordering soups your'e gonna be a while so settle the fuck in. Then once these customers get to the fucking window that bitch and complain becuase it took them a minute 40 and they will be late for their old menapuale bitch book club. And guess what if i can't understand you becuase you speak with a heavy heavy accent do NOT go through the drive thru. I don't know what a fucking dklsjfddsk, dkfdkjfdk is you dumb shit. Come to the front, announciate, and learn english or atleast French. Fuck the employees too. When you come in an hour and a half late 8 times a month you shpuld be fucking canned. But becuase your'e fucking the boss of course you wont be. Even thoughs who have more self respect that that and come in late or not at all don't get canned. And its not jsut the lates, its that fact that everyone who works there is a total dumbass. This was an actual conversation :

Im in the service line and normally u would expect that I get the most shit from the customers. but noooo.. you are so wrong. you get the worst shit from ur own colleagues. yes, your colleagues that are supposed to be helping you in the team. you wont believe what they would do to bring you down. and worst, im new and i cant quit! i think i just got myself in the deepest shit ever. why am i so foolish to sign a bond with the company!! now im depressed and i cant even leave my job without paying a huge sum of moolah. in my job, not only you have to worry about being complained by your customers, you also have to be worried about not doing your job well, and being complained by your own colleagues! there are also a lot of hidden rules and culture i have to follow. you might just find yourself screwed without ever knowing what you did wrong. And right now, im under probation(which means my colleagues can fucked me up anyway they want). any complaints that come in, might just extend my probation(which also extends my misery). i just hope time passes quickly and i get the bond over and done with. the only thing i like about the job is the fat paycheck but im telling you, all the money aint worth all the shit.
