So the restaurant I was working at closed down, and I was transferred to a new store as an hourly manager. My new boss, the Bipolar Hippo, is horrible. And I mean horrible.

She has the worst mood swings that I have ever seen from anyone in my entire life. For instance, last Tuesday night I was closing, we needed extra food cooked for a huge order the next day. Well, we were busy. And by busy, I mean BUSY. We ran out of food several times, with wait times building up. So after we closed, I got a call from my boss, who was off that day.

** This might be kind of long, I just really need to rant.

My boss is the worst one there is. I'm not even kidding you. I work in shitty a restaurant. My boss is literally the worst guy for the job.

He has no sense of cleanliness. He has this whole attitude where he thinks that he doesn't have to clean up after himself, because somebody will do it for him. Like if he makes a food order, he'll leave the entire area looking like shit, and will ignore it. He feels he doesn't have to clean it, because "the mexicans will be here in a few hours to clean it.." (That too pisses me off, he uses the word 'mexican' as a derogatory word.). Not only that, but he also leaves garbage over everywhere, and the mail. He'll refuse to take care of any of it, because "xxx will come in to take care of it" ... xxx meaning me.

So at my job, we lost 5 of our employees this summer. We now have barely enough people working. But we also had to fire one of our three managers (because he was drinking on the job, wtf). So now we have a general manager, and a regular manager. The regular manager goes to college full time, and is working a full time job each week (40 hours of work, plus school). The general manager works whenever the other manager can't work, and vice versa. Each are working about 40 hours a week, plus dealing with their personal lives. So here's where everything sucks even more.

Our regional manager is an asshole. We've complained to him that we need help in the management area, because the two managers are going insane. What do we get as a response? We're ignored. And then we tell the Hospitality manager that we need help. What else? We get ignored. He deliberately ignores any phone calls made to him by us. We go one step above him to his boss, and complain to them. What happens? We're told that we have to go back to the Hospitality manager.

Well, I just recently learned a couple of new things about how horrible people can be when they are in management positions. They are hiring a gaggle of people so that they can clean out some of the others and that there is a "hit list" in which that, they need to get rid of? I don't get it! They just can't do people dirty like that but obviously they are and they are successful at it! The only thing that I need to do I guess is step up my game a little, which means, stuffing my bra and putting on more make-up because these broads they are hiring are just ughh.......! Anyways, I thing I spoke my peace about it more, and all I can do is try and just stick to what I can do best, which is being myself.

The first thing once I saw this one was WOW! I guess I should share a little about myself to you guys...I'm 26 years old, female, married,and I have been waiting tables at the same restaraunt now for almost three years. I feel that some of those years will be the best days of my life, but not until these past couple weeks. I think mainly, what this place relies on is favoritism, and who is "blowing" who to get shifts and I can't get more. I don't include myself in any drama that is in that place and I make pretty good money though. But, the attitude in there is just horrible! I can't see how most of these people live halfway decent lives! But that is their problem.

Dear Impossible-to-Satisfy-Fish-Face,
I have a question for you. What exactly is "delightfully european" about your store? I fail to see the "European" in a $6 grilled chicken salad, a store managed by all Mexicans, and in a store owned by all Japanese people because the company itself CAME from Japan. Please, explain the "delightfully European" in that, because I'm not seeing it.
Have you ever actually sat down and wondered why it's only been a month since the new store opened and already 4 people quit, and 3 others are about to, and a few more are already considering it? It's because your store is a SHITHOLE. You're a greedy SOB and should burn in hell for throwing away perfectly good food at the end of the day instead of giving it to your hard working employees or at least DONATING IT to homeless people like your rival company does. How DARE you make us pay for the food for 50% off after we close, right before you have us toss it into the garbage can.

And before I head out, I have a stomach ache and I'm already dreading the time I have to spend with the fucktards I work with.

Just curious if many of you have experienced nightmares about work. My job actually has been getting better as far as me myself and I, but I see a lot of other employees being humiliated by getting screamed at -and other such innappropriate behaviors that exhbit lack of control on the part of our boss.

Here lately, I have been getting some harrassment from a co-worker. While it is definately mild in camparison to what I recieved when I first came to this job, it is frustrating. This person called me an "international hooker" (acted like she was joking). She did this in front of co-workers because somehow the subject of my ex being from Europe came up. It was an innocent conversation, and she blurted in with "oh that's right your an international hooker!" I was pissed. I told her I am not and never was a "hooker"- that me and this man share a child and I don't appreciate her making a joke like that. Come to find out she had been dating a guy that we work with and I laughed at a joke he told me. Clearly I was hitting on him... *rolling eyes in sarcasm* I have also not been a target of my bosses lashings for a while. We have too many people that started after me, so the focus is not on me anymore - THANK GOD - . Well, she has been noticing this and now she makes very vocal remarks about that. "Here comes SERVERGIRL, she is the little favorite. She will get all the tables. I have only been here longer than you but she will seat you over and over.

Well, I got a new job. After talking so good about my current job, I actually had a better job fall into my lap. As of Monday morning, I was looking forward to another week at Johnny's Pizza, now it's Thursday night and I just finished my last shift at Johnny's. I know a month from now I will be writing venomous, angry words on this site, but right now I'm just a little excited to be doing something that doesn't require kissing customer ass. Now I'll be kissing my boss'es ass over at Chase Mortgage.Granted it's temp work, but it starts at $8.50/hr with unlimited overtime, or so I've been told. But in inimitable Morvayne style, I'm gonna stay optimistic until evidence that that they're screwing me over is beating me over the head.

I swear, working as an instore sucks so bad. I am seriously pissed right now. I cut pizzas when they come out of the oven, which is easy when things go right which they only do when I'm making the pizzas AND cutting them. Last few nights have been terrible. Last Friday night was really busy so we are supposed to have one person cutting and one person putting orders together. There is only one other crew member who knows what he's doing, because I trained him. The MOD decides to assign him another position and puts himself in that spot, and disappears for most of the night, except to walk by and jump my ass for not being fast enough.

I work in a stupid restaurant. The customers are stupid. The rest of the staff are moronic idiots. I'm dead serious (and seriously not being egotistic when I say this), that I'm the only one there who doesn't suck at this job.

My job is to be on the cash register, and if I'm free to, to take out food and wipe down tables. Then usually there are the managers who will help take out food, and then there are the cooks. Sounds easy, right?

Wrong. Every single person there is a fucking moron. The managers are lazy as hell (maybe with the exception of one, but he's starting to get on my nerves). We're *always* out of something, because the general manager is so fucking lazy, that he doesn't make the right orders for when we need things shipped to us.

Here's a little update for you all. In late 2004, things were going from bad to worse at Pizza Hut, until one Thursday I was scheduled to come in early at 2PM to cover for my store manager so she could go to a meeting of the area's managers. I showed up and realized that she had sent every crew member home early and the evening crew would not begin showing up until 6. Oh and the supply truck would be showing up at any moment. So I was stuck trying to put away all the food, making pizzas, serving tables, and cashing out customers. Now she knows that the dinner rush starts around 4PM every day, but rarely schedules anyone to come in at 5PM, and never at 4PM.

Demandred makes his auspicious return under the new guise of Morvayne! It has been two years since I disappeared from Fthisjob.com, and many thing have changed. I still work in the pizza business, albeit for a smaller regional company. I am no longer a manager, thanks to the back-stabbing management culture at Pizza Hut, but am a lowly peon. But no pity is necessary, forthcoming or not, because I am happier with my current job, despite any incidents or occurences that you may hear about in future posts. I make less money, but I don't constantly have a headache from stress, and for me, the two balance out beautifully. But enough talk about me. I see Mister X and Ndiezel still post, so a big whassup to both of you. If there is anybody else still posting that recognizes or even remembers my former user name, please speak up and be heard.

OK so when you ask me to cover your shift for you, and then call the boss and say the same thing, that is getting two people to cover your shift not one!! UGH! How can people be this naturally stupid!?! Honestly!! So of course I show up to work in uniform etc, and the half-hour drive there, only to be told that they don't need me, because the stupid co-worker had also called the boss and told him that he needed the shift covered and now there were two extra people!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR! Thanks for wasting my time, gas, and money A-Holes!

Where do I start, if anyone has seen office space you will remember the poor guy that had his stapler taken away thats me. Almost 3yrs ago I had the best job ever but year after year it turned to shit. This year everything has gone down the drain the people who respected me gone, my dedication gone, everything in a pile of smoldering ashes. This year we got a new manager from burger king he took all of his employees and hired them at pizzahut cutting everyones hours that have worked their even longer then me. I started standing up for my self and now they are making my life a living hell. In the last week I was yelled at in front of customers twice, told to screw my self when i choose not to go to the xmas party since my gf could not come. Just to make things better they have taken me off the secdual for the last two weeks. I have worked there for almost 3yrs never called and always came in sick or half dead to show my dedication and this is my reward? I am told that I alone make mistakes when in fact other people mistakes are often looked over seeing how I am the scapegoat for all of the problems. I can remember coming in off the clock and being yelled at for making a mistake.
