Boss / Manager / SupervisorAnother day - another resume Submitted by SpilledCoffee on Sat, 05/03/2008 - 02:35.
Boss / Manager / Supervisor | Sales
I hated my last sales job at financial services company. Money had been great, except that I was financing construction and industrial equipment and the economy turned. Well, not turned - stopped- home construction came to a halt. My sales numbers tanked, everyone slowed except our dept Suck Up. She kept getting plum accounts not affected by the recession. Layoff rumors were rampant and when I heard rumors of our division closing, I jumped ship. Right into the frickin' ocean without a life jacket I might add. Landed in manufacturing sales. Wow... Hired, Fired, unemployed again! Submitted by KingGraham on Mon, 04/21/2008 - 18:50.

Well, it's been a while. I found a job at a local publishing company back towards the beginning of March. It was a pretty shitty little job--answering e-mails for the deadbeat morons trying to get their book published. Well, succeeding usually since this wasn't a real publisher. They published anything, no matter how shit it was, then tried to make money off people's friends and family members buying their shitty book. I need to think about my future... Boss / Manager / Supervisor | Other Job
Good God. I am reading all of these posts and I realize I a not alone. There are a bunch of shitheads out there to work for. Always has to be at least one in every place of business. My problem is two fold. My boss is so old and old fashioned that is an absolute F#*($#&$ BORE to work under him. My God! I look at him and realize when I hit a point in my career if I am ever like that I want people to put me out of my misery. I need to think about my future... Boss / Manager / Supervisor | Restaurant and Food Service
So the restaurant I was working at closed down, and I was transferred to a new store as an hourly manager. My new boss, the Bipolar Hippo, is horrible. And I mean horrible. She has the worst mood swings that I have ever seen from anyone in my entire life. For instance, last Tuesday night I was closing, we needed extra food cooked for a huge order the next day. Well, we were busy. And by busy, I mean BUSY. We ran out of food several times, with wait times building up. So after we closed, I got a call from my boss, who was off that day. Gave my two weeks notice Submitted by CoCo on Thu, 03/27/2008 - 14:41.

Told my douche bag boss that I accepted another position and that I'm giving my two weeks notice. He is under the impression that it's not enough time. He said it was unreasonable. Blah blah blah blah. He was such a dick. I suggested maybe we could work something out. He said to just hand-in my resignation letter. I went straight to HR and did so. I also told them he thinks two weeks isn't enough. Kiss my ass fucker! Ef Yoo See, Kay Eye En, Geeeeeeeee, Douchebag. Submitted by straylight on Tue, 03/25/2008 - 01:43.

My boss is a fucking douchebag. My old boss was a Jack Ass -- I hated him for a whole different set of reasons, which have been detailed thoroughly in posts prior on this very site. A Jackass, I've learned, is actually slightly more tolerable than a Douchebag. I hate working here... Submitted by godhelpme on Thu, 03/13/2008 - 15:07.

I'm a radio DJ, and I used to love my job. It's fun, easy, and the hours are great. The pay isn't what I wish it was, but you have to take the good with the bad, right? PLEASE get this man some fucking Ritalin!!! Submitted by faerycatcher85 on Thu, 02/28/2008 - 22:12.
Boss / Manager / Supervisor
My manager has a BAD case of AD/HD. He's disorganized, easily distracted, walks/talks really fast (hyperactive), has a bad short term memory, misplaces things a lot, talks out loud to himself ALL the time (which can get to be very annoying). I don't have anything against people with ADHD, I know that a lot of people have it, but in this case it seems to be getting in the way of his work (he's a procrastinator, lazy, overall a bad example). My problem is the fact that whenever I'm talking to him (no matter what it is), he'll always laugh afterwards. What a fucking cunt Submitted by fuckthisshit on Thu, 02/28/2008 - 16:20.
Boss / Manager / Supervisor | Manufacturing, Production and Operation
So I'm sick. My whole fucking family is sick. I take off 3 days because of being sick. Big whoop, I can do most of my work from home anyways. So I get back to work today, and everything is fine. I'm medicated, I still feel like shit, some of the coworkers come up and ask me how i'm doing, bla bla bla. then my HR person comes in my office... she wants to warn me that the VP is bitching about how I've take off too many Mondays. I can get where she's coming from... I'm 22, maybe some delinquents take off Monday because theyre hungover... Douche bag boss Submitted by CoCo on Wed, 02/27/2008 - 15:10.

My boss’s passive aggressive remarks don’t bother me as much anymore because I’m talking to my old boss on Tuesday to see if I can go back to work for him again. I’ve learned a lot of skills in the last two years that I think will be of benefit to his business. I enjoyed working for him but the money wasn’t the greatest. However, I’ll take a lower salary for peace of mind any day. I live modestly and my partner makes almost six figures a year so we can afford this. Manipulation Submitted by Bent II on Thu, 02/21/2008 - 05:55.
Boss / Manager / Supervisor
The only thing worse than being manipulated, is knowing that the person doing it actually doesn't give you enough credit to realize that you know what they are doing. And knowing they are doing it to give someone else what they want at your expense. It's quite an insult to my intelligence to have anyone think I am that thick. I KNOW that almost all of the "changes" that involved me in years past have been made strictly to acommodate others or solve pesky problems. And the insult is putting the spin on it and thinking I am stupid enough not to see through this. I always have. I think I'm ready to quit my job Submitted by CoCo on Wed, 02/20/2008 - 12:52.
Boss / Manager / Supervisor
We got a new boss and he expects me to learn project management in a few weeks. I tried reading books and shit but I just can't grasp the concepts. He's a fucking certified PMP so how in the fuck can I garner that knowledge in two weeks. I've been sleeping like shit for the last few weeks. I'm just so sick of feeling like I'm gonna get fired any day now. I've just completed a freelance project for my old boss and he was really happy with it. I'm thinking of quitting this job, pays $20.50/hour, and going back to my old one that pays $11/hour. Whatever road I take, there's a dead end Submitted by faerycatcher85 on Mon, 02/18/2008 - 23:35.
Boss / Manager / Supervisor
When it comes to working, I feel like I have to decide whether I'd rather have a job with more responsibilities, thus more pay, or something with less responsibilities, thus lower pay . Both situations are almost equally stressful (let's face it, not having money can be stressful too). I don't have a degree or any type of certification yet, so my job options are limited. I just started this new job, about 1.5 weeks ago. As you may of already guessed, I crazy bitch..??! Submitted by faerycatcher85 on Wed, 02/06/2008 - 02:24.
Boss / Manager / Supervisor
The manager at my job is being such a bitch!! okay, this is what happened. I started working there (again) on December 3rd. She told me that I should look for a second job, because I wouldn't get very many hours there. The problem with that is the fact that I work at a mall, so of course, by December.. most places already have their Christmas help. In January, a lot of stores don't need help because they kept some of their seasonal staff. |
